I subscribe. Nice detail on this video. If I may, when I bought my 83, the door key did not work the rear hatch lock. However, was in good condition, so I took to our local locksmith with the door key and they converted the tumblers to that key, works perfectly. No idea how the hatch lock was different, strange, but I bought it 7 years ago used and it was 34 years old then, but zero rust. Love these cars, especially now, with modern LS drive-line, car is a hoot to drive. Cheers!
Thanks very much for the reply and your subscription. Yeah, I never even thought about the rear locking compartment until It installed the door locks. Dont think they come in 4 lock sets so I may have to do the same as what you did with your hatch lock.but with the locking compartment so. That way I dont have to carry the old key with me too...
Greetings from Torrance! Fantastic job on the video! I had to go thru this when I replaced my door. Wish I had this video years ago when I did it, but was able to figure it out(with a lot of cursing). I do have to ask, how are the new style handles?
Thanks for the comment :) what may I ask was the part that you had difficulties with during the install? LOVE the handles. I had a strip of clearbra film installed under the handles to prevent scratches from those who's nails might scratch the paint.
@@thecamarogarageHello! It was literally years ago when I did it. Had to replace the door because a food delivery driver backed into it. Was very sad because the car was totally original. To be honest, I like the original handles, but I still appreciate people trying new things. Thanks again!
This really broke it down on my Sons 1983 Camaro. Thank you
Hey. That is absolutely great to hear that the video was of help for your sons camaro!
thanks very much for the feedback :)

@paulmiyagishima7655 I compiled a video upgrading the original door handles to the flush ones so I'll try and edit those to a video soon.
You put the OG clip in the wrong way on the new lock.
Hello. I'm not sure what you're referring to? Could you please explain? I rewatchee my video and I'm not seeing anything wrong? Thanks
