This is a great video showing how much work actually goes into bringing a solid survivor classic back to top condition. Lots of elbow grease and LOTS of experience. Can you give us a *ballpark* idea of what a project like this cost? (minus the sub-contract work like the bonnet re-work, etc) You guys went into so much extra effort to make this right. The owner must be over the moon happy.

It was a little bit of a back and forth project We waited for some seals We waited for undercoating etc. We wait for some work (fixing the hood) Total days on it probably 6-9days

I'm interested in having the dry ice treatment in the engine compartment and underneath of a 1991 Park Avenue which has been garaged for thirty years of it's life. What does the process entail?
The process starts with reaching out through our contact form and discussing a time for you to bring the car to the shop or have it towed to the shop, then will take a look at the car on the lift and see what the state and condition of everything is, and then we give a more accurate quote for the time involved and agree on what services you want. Beautiful car, beautiful detailing on the undercarriage! I'm just curious why a car with an apparently expensive restoration needs Waxoyl on the undercarriage. I know on these cars originally, no thought was given to corrosion protection- but since this car will likely see no inclement weather, and minimal exposure to moisture, why coat the satisfyingly clean underside? If the goal is to protect against surface non-structural rust, why not use a less opaque waxy protectant? I'm coming from the land of snow and road salt, where black spray-ons are used to hide the ugly truth LOL. I assume this was customer's choice.

Sometimes, when we don't know what the final resting place of a car will be, we recommend that we protect the car so that it's safe and sound for many years to come, no matter what it faces. We often are using a clear protective wax that works quite well, but sometimes we'll opt for a more serious coating, like the waxoyl. Funny because it's sort of a damned if you do, damned if you dont. When we apply clear wax, people complain that the car isn't properly protected and when we apply waxoyl, we contend with the no longer such satisfyingly clean. Different strokes for different folks, and different products for different owners, depending on their desires. All quite malleable!
I am a hugh Porsche fan, love the 911 and the 928 but no matter how hard I try I just can't get myself to like these 956's. They look like an inverted bathtub.Oh well everyone likes something different.
You guys should see how bad my paint is on my black 2006 Impreza wagon 😢 it’s one of the worst paint jobs I’ve ever seen. It’s got that last owner “knew a guy who can do it for cheaper” kind of paint..it’s even more noticeable in the AZ sun
Clay bar is for removing contaminants in the paint. Many “fancy” cars don’t need that step because of how theyve been taken care of. Many times, it’s the hard water spots, etc that come from life outside in the elements that need clay bar

Same here. I’ve been guessing maybe the touch up paint doesn’t have time to cure properly before the paint correction would get started?

It's Waxoyl, a non-hardening, self healing surface and cavity wax used for many years as corrosion protection.
