How did u make the subject looks so bright without using artificial lighting?
I like that boulder, that's a nice boulder
Piha beach is pretty special. Most beaches on the West Coast of New Zealand have rich black volcanic sand that will burn your feet from the heat in mid summer.
I learn that bounce lights for subject is key that way you wouldn't compromise the beauty of the sunset I THINK YOUR SKIES ARE TO BLOWN.. but just my opinion you did great thought
Capricorn One, the movie you couldn't think of. About a fake Mars landing conspiracy where the astronauts have to escape through the desert! Anyway, the combination of landscape and potrait in this shoot is brilliant. There was form and shape to the images even as landscape photographs, which is pretty difficult to achieve on its own, and then adding in the human subject. You have great vision.

Beautiful shots. I did my first proper Sunset shoot this week and I just loved it. Don’t think I quite got my exposures right I wasn’t sure with a family of four quite how to get everybody exposed correctly. However, I did learn how important it was to edit. ❤

I'm really debating on adapting Sigma lenses to my Nikon Z5. Sadly they don't make primes for Nikon Z Full frame cameras 😢 but this was such a lovely video! I love your photography. 😊

Hey! I make sure I expose for the sky. And then in the editing I can always bring back the model by bringing up the shadows 😁

I use a chest harness, and then attach my iPhone to it. I’ve linked everything in my description 🙌

Hey! I made sure to expose for the background. And then in the editing I bring her back. By bringing up the shadows and exposure 😄
I think this photography channel is one of the few that reminds you that photography is not about buying 20 cameras and a million lenses that you don't need

Excellent! It is snowing here in Colorado, so I appreciate the warm sunset and beach scene. I see you like your adapted prime lenses for the models. What is the B cam that you use for yourself? It looks like a wider angle lens compared to you 35 and 50.

Thank you! That’s also a very good idea. Then you can perfectly lit your subject whilst keeping the background gorgeous
@@inyourfayes I have tried off camera flash but it's quite tricky in these situations.. One needs a softbox and a modifier and defuser.. But if you practice enough I guess one can get it looking really special..

where did you advertise for her Faye, i just discovered your youtube and lovveeee your content, I live in Nz in a small little town and am always on the hunt for models, but think more opportunity for models closer to city which is a couple hours from me :)

Hi! I'm a novice in photography, and I wonder how u can get both the beautiful sun set and bright model in the same pic😭 I mean when I shoot face the sunset the object I wanna shoot is always dark, and when object is bright enough, the sky is completely white and over expose😭 How did u do that? Or u use Lr to fix it?
Use a flash to light your subject
