Im a florida fan and didn't watch this game because i was doing something. My dad came in and said we won in ot 3-2 against toronto. Im waiting for steve dangle to make his vid and react. But why do we play terribly when we theoreticly have on of the best teams in the nhl. We are mid but around 15th in the league so we just have no chance due to our division being stacled.

Also Paul lives in the same neighborhood as my folks down here in south Florida and he’s such a great guy. Super friendly he and his wife are really really good people. Hope to meet him someday.
I know he’s getting a lot of hate from the knuckle draggers that make up a large chunk of this fan base but I really think the boys buy in, and getting out of cap hell and letting Zito cook this summer will make us contenders again next year.

When I coached my kid in Winnipeg against his son, he would be in the stands then in the hall chatting with coaches after the games. Was really nice to everyone.

Imagine having a rookie coach who carried you to the best regular season record ever, firing him, and then replacing him with Paul Maurice: a coach who misses the playoffs more than he makes them. 9 appearances in 24 years of coaching, about to be 25 (and still 9). How do you get to coach that long despite being so provenly underwhelming.
Was talking to my buddy about this a little while ago. How does any org look at his resume and hire this guy? Especially a team trying to compete now? What a dropoff. He's absolutely horrendous.

You can hear players yelling on the ice from the nosebleeds. Being 2 feet away she 1,000,000% heard everything he said clear as day.

Dude, when they called that "holding" on Nylander when he tripped on the flying stick. Paul thought it would be tripping and started to freak out again until they said holding and he stopped and chuckled to himself. They 100% were gonna call tripping at first because the refs arm didnt go up till Nylander tripped and I just wish the refs had the balls to follow through with their garbage call and make Paul explode lol
Gallant keeps it kind of under control but he can get pretty mad. When he does so, his angry face is not someone I would want to meet in a dark alley (and definitely not with his assistant Kelly with him). If you can check out when he lost it at Ziba after a game this year (right after he scored the GWG lol). Turned out Ziba was going after the ref about a blown call after we had won the game. Gallant was making the point that he should "leave the ref alone" (as he said in the post game) at that juncture.

I Pens NHL hockey fan from Eastern Europe, I not understand and not divide your sarcasm about how some NHL coaches hot and how they react to the game and it situations. I think more better when coach react and involved in game, when coach whom no react and no care what is going on. I remember how a coup of seasons ago be coach in Chicago young man (some young fop, too young to be hockey coach) whom be absolutely indifferently, he look how team losing, he not talking with players on bench, not try to do something for help his team, defs do same mistakes in defence - he not say a word, no try to indicate mistake to stop it. What Chicago fop be silent like steel, no word from him, but is it indicate what he be a good coach? I think good coach must be active, sometimes aggressive and angry, he must be sick for his team, because he cares what is going on and how game goes, and Tortorella and Maurice - good coaches, they in game with teams. And I think fans can be happy what they have this coaches. P.S. please, sorry for my poor English.
