There are three branches of government. The executive, the legislative, and the judicial. These POLITICAL questions would be more appropriate if this was a nominee for a executive or legislative position in our government. The judicial branch is supposed to be non-political and it's only task is to see that laws are followed. This is even more important for those justices who are tasked with upholding the written intent of our Constitution. God help our republic if it ever becomes otherwise.
I honestly wish we would do with the party system, and direct all these questions to candidates. These are better questions than the ones asked at a debate.

There are three branches of government. The executive, the legislative, and the judicial. These POLITICAL questions would be more appropriate if this was a nominee for a executive or legislative position in our government. The judicial branch is supposed to be non-political and it's only task is to see that laws are followed. This is even more important for those justices who are tasked with upholding the written intent of our Constitution. God help our republic if it ever becomes otherwise.
I honestly wish we would do with the party system, and direct all these questions to candidates. These are better questions than the ones asked at a debate.

Ideally, we should be striving to make sure that going forward, the makeup of the court (and in fact our elected representatives) look more like a cross section of our entire country.
