Nice ride! You might consider taking Yonge next time. It has a new bike lane that goes at least as far North as St. Clair. I haven't used it yet, but it looks well made!
I've recorded on that stretch a number of times and took my scooter on it last night (in a video). It's certainly an improvement!

As you rode along I was thinking you were sitting on a seat. You surprised me at the end with a full view of your scooter. You stood all the way. It is a simple little thing, great for moving in and out around cars and fixed objects along the roadway. I worried about bicycles pulling up from behind to pass you. Are handle bar mirrors installable so you can see anything approaching from behind? Great ride! Great area to live!
I'm constantly checking over my shoulders (the same as on a bike). I don't see the need to install mirrors but I suppose I could.
On mine (another e-scooter model) I installed a mirror on the left. I bought open ended handlebar grips so I could mount the mirror. The mirror I got grips to the inside of the tube since I didn't have space left on the handlebar.

Are e-scooters allowed in Toronto? In some posts, it says that e-scooters are banned in Toronto.
They're technically not to be operated in public, but it's not being enforced at all which is why you see so many of them. It's really insane the city didn't sign up to the province's pilot program.
Do you feel the toronto bike lanes are broken and bumpy?

I am new to Canada, currently living in Toronto and I just recently ordered a bike. I was watching this video and I was wondering what to do when the street does not have a bike lane. Do you ride on the sidewalk or what?
Check your local by-laws. In Toronto it is illegal for cyclists (over 14) to ride on the sidewalk. As a cyclist you're entitled to take the entire lane if you feel necessary, you are treated the same as a vehicle law wise (providing you're not on a street that prohibits bicycles).
@@JohnnyStrides I get nervous of taking a lane with my scooter. Sometimes I drive at the right side of the lane but that seems to be pointless and dangerous at times. I feel like I slow down traffic and somehow going to eventually get rear ended.

I have not... and by the looks of it neither has anyone else! Just wear a helmet and follow the rules of the road and I think you'll be fine!

They're banned from being used in public areas but fortunately it's not enforced. City council have their heads up their asses on this sort of thing.

Yeah I will at some point. Unfortunately the action cameras I have (GoPro Hero 9 & Osmo Action) have pretty bad low light performance with stabilization enabled. I'll figure something out.

A person driving 1500 kg car burning lots of fuel polluting air and contributing to global warming with paying huge on car price, Auto insurance and maintenance,
On the other hand a few hundreds, 10-20 kg fulfilling almost all the needs above with less impacts on environment and on pocket.
So predictable-actionkid did this and i was just counting till strides did the same thing.Perhaps you should take a break from predictable Yonge, downtown videos and do scar-borough, Montreal, Missysaga and other surrounding areas?

I'm not sure where Missysaga is (or even what that is...) but I tend to avoid boring suburbia like Mississauga (save for a few areas). I will be in Montreal next month though.

Bike lane disappears while still on main street. Typical Toronto. Pathetic
What's the make and model?
It's better to stay in sidewalk if there's no bike lane. The white SUV almost run you over very dangerous! Those vehicles are just to narrow on your side very dangerous! I stayed in sidewalk if there's no bike lane much safer not getting hit those vehicles.
