You're great at this Shelby. I know how much works goes into this. And we learn all sorts of cool stuff from your travels and adventures. Keep up the great work.
Wow, you have released 11 videos in the past month on your two channels. That's insane! RUclipsrs with whole teams of writers, editors and assistenst don't churn out as many videos. It's just you and annemariechase just resently helping you out.
I can't believe you went to my gym, which by the way, is really amazing, I love that location. I wish I had seen you there! About the pool bar, they are closed now in October, but during the summer, there were even DJs and pool parties, and it's the most crowded NY equinox pool during the summertime.
haha! i'm glad she elaborated on the "smells like an equinox". i didn't know they were scented. at first i thought it was the equivalent of saying "it smells like a gym in here"
I have no intention of going to New York or even America anytime soon but I LOVE these videos. I love seeing places that I’ll probably never go to even if I did visit New York.
I live on the UES and pay $230 a month for my equinox gym membership. All my friends think I’m crazy, but for only $130 more than your average NYC gym membership I get unlimited classes, a beautiful gym, steam room, etc. I think it’s totally worth the price!! One day I’ll spoil myself with a night at the equinox hotel. I’ve been meaning to try it out, thanks for the video!❤️
Upper west side here and we were paying around the same, about $500 for my wife and I though a corporate discount. No access to the sports club or print house at that rate. I hated seeing that charge every month but the gym is fantastic. Always a free bench press, even at rush, clean facilities, competent staff, and the people were (mostly) normal. Protip: the equinox in Soho is full of models at all hours, if you want extra motivation. It's actually cheaper than the boutique gyms in the area 😅
its so fancy wow ! its more like a resort , the bathroom tile looks so thick it looks like cultured tile ? man made slabs ? not sure . i like how they added wood in areas and the retro wrap around bench in the room , its all super nice !!
Good video ! Love the Black out shades for the ultimate best sleep. Turn off phone , no alarm set , do blackout shades & just sleep till u naturally wake up - for ultimate re-charge. i noticed your original shelby voice is coming back - yay ! since your jaw surgery. You are Looking Good , Happy & Healthy these days ! Congrats ! Cool vid.
No. Not Really. The only place you might find a room that is similiar in quality(beds, fabrics, fixtures, woodwork, fittings, and electronics) for $350 is in Las Vegas becuase gambling subsidizes and keeps the hotel costs 40%-50% lower then the national average. In any other city that has a hotel of this quality you can be certain you are going to be paying $500+ per night.
Came across this channel while researching ideas for my channel. I like the way Shelby tells stories and the camera work. This inspired me to try expensive hotels 😀
Would be a disappointment to stay at other one-room hotels after seeing / staying at one of these. Thanks for showing this. I have seen a few suites that might compete in this space. This hotel definitely looks high end with several perks.
How cool! When I was traveling out to California I would always stay at The Sunset Marquis and as a perk you could train at the Equinox within walking distance for free. Always loved that place and could definitely see myself staying at this hotel next time I'm in NYC. Thank you for another great video. Incidentally, I just went on Amazon and ordered some Marvis toothpaste. 😁

@Michael Aiden Wow 😲 talking about Chris Sain, My first investment with him gave me a profit of €19,000 ever since then, he's been the best broker I have known.
Thank you for sharing ❤. (I know this is a late video 🤭 but it’s new to me). Cannot wait to experience this lovely hotel. I’m moving to New York very soon, I’m super excited.! Thanks Again 🫶🏽🦋🥹
Nerd question first. What is the name of the font you used for titles in this video? Secondly, A client put me up in that Equinox for 5 days. That place is pretty pretty good! Great video Shelby.
I’ve stayed in even better hotel for $400 a night lol, it’s beautiful for sure but no way is it worth $1000….. like where’s your butler! That’s what $1000 should get you 😂👏🏽
This is the same with every gym. They actually make the bulk of their money (but not a lot, gyms have pretty low profits) from the personal training they sell, not memberships.
@@Zeronote13 I confirm that! Current EQX member and I've been lazy since the pandemic, so I go only 1 or 2 times per week. Hopefully now that we go back to the office in next in 10 days I also go back to my 5-day/week EQX routine.
As others have stated, most people don’t fully utilize their membership and many rarely go. In addition they charge quite a price for personal training, Pilates, spa and keep the majority of the fees.
I worked in the building next door and never got the gym tour... Great vid. You covered everything I had heard except that particular Equinox gym when it opened was the most exclusive in the franchise. Memberships that allowed roving to all Equinox gyms did not include Hudson Yards because of the "Billionaire's Row" clients. If you are blown away by 5th floor pool overlooking a courtyard between buildings and a shopping mall, check out Thailand and take your pick of 40th floor infinity pools in beach towns.
The Baccarat(high end crystal) is probably one of the better "themed" luxury hotels in New York. One a similiar note I think the Hotel Bel-Air in Los Angeles is the best luxury hotel in all of California.
I really like the interior too. Really nice. I'm sure if you booked more than three nights and in advance you could get a deal. Watch out if they are like Vegas they might have sensors and automatically charge your card if you use the mini bar or something. I would ask if all the extras are free just in case but if they are I would say it is priced just about right for New York.
This is such a nice hotel! I am a hotel receptionist, and I've worked in luxurious hotels in Paris and the South of France. That one is really up there with some of the best I've seen in Paris. I looove when you make videos like this one, it is so interesting and I love the way you film and talk about the hotels you try. Side note: I laughed when you said this is a small room. For Paris standard, this one is huge!
@@DDTS93 I stayed at Hiltons in Niagra Falls, Indiana, and Arizona but not New York so perhaps the square footage would be smaller. In every locale all the amenities were the same.
I need to get some "Luxury water"!! Can I afford it? Yes. Do I want to? No. Very cool location though. If I could get someone else to pay for it...I'd definitely want to stay there. Walking distance to almost everything in Manhattan and the subway covers the rest. New version of "couch surfing"? Haha
this is like a resort. it is only worth it if you stay in the hotel and use all the free amenities like the gym, gym class, gym clothes, pool, hot tub, etc.....
I'm really loving these videos of you moving around and staying in different places. Makes my boring life more interesting lol.

Felt the need to watch this all the way through to contribute to the hotel bill 🤣
Girl I love how you make your videos! I don’t find many people making your type of documentary style videos and inspires me!
That is a big hotel room for New York City standards. And it’s gorgeous! Would love to stay there!
I agree. It's mansion compared to the hotel I got in the 220$ range. I could barely move around.
Wrong because this girl could’ve bought three cows for that money.

Thanks Shelby, I really love that kind of video!
For $1000/night surely they should be gifting new workout clothes, rather than 'lending'. Thx for the vid, interesting to see at the price point.
Those clothes themselves probably retail for over $100. There is no way they will gift them.
Passed this hotel a few weeks back and wondered what it looked like inside! Thanks for the insight!! :)
Great review on the spot. thanks Shelby. You rock!
Except for vegas hotels in the US seem very outdated for the price compared to hotels in Asia
