I would bet the liability policy Swimply has doesn't cover non owners I briefly looked though it but that would be my big red light for renting my own pool someone gets killed back there and now I'm on the hook for million dollars. I know my homeowners won't cover any of this I'm nervous about neighbors and friends bringing their kids over to swim I'm out there supervising.

I would be totally down with that - I get a discount through my company for a home business line, and I only use a fraction of it (it has unlimited download). I actually thought "hey, could I sublet this connection to my neighbors via wifi?" I probably could, but I'm guessing the hassle wouldn't be worth it - ie, if it goes down in the middle of the night, it'd be a hassle to IMMEDIATELY get it fixed.
Essentially, it'd be something like, $50 a month for the connection, and you'd be able to sublet 4 people or so - but now you're tech support for 4 households. $200/month ain't worth that, IMO.

$165 for 2 hours in a private pool in LA is a fucking fantastic deal considering how nice that pool is. I think your expectations are way too high and you don't know the cost of owning and maintaining a pool. I also think that you forgot that you're in the middle of Los Angeles California where everything is expensive.

11:28 lol knew it. Pool maintenance is like $500 a month during the summer. You have all the different chemicals, all the scrubbing and cleaning, running the pumps for hours a day, etc. It's like 100 to $200 in electricity alone.

We have a pool and built in hot tub. We also have a pool bath, so I think it’s cool that we could offer a private changing area, bathroom, and shower usage. We also have a dock nearby. I’m almost curious about doing this lol.

Ridiculous. No normal person can afford (rent) such a thing. Go to a normal swimming pool, costs 10 dollars for the whole day.
