Peak-level Ryu play feels oddly identical to whatever Obi-wan was talking about when he described a lightsaber as "an elegant weapon from a more civilized age."
amazing vid. my favorite was the one where the tatsu hit all the way across the screen after the shinku. i actually popped off hella hard it was one of the most hype things i've ever seen.
That was sweet:) I love the choice of music, and editing. More people gotta play this game. It ticks all the right marks for it to be timeless. It’s just too cool.
Have you ever seen the Simon Pegg movie Hot Fuzz? the bit at the start where they send him off to the countryside because he's too good at being a cop? "Nicholas, you're making us all look bad" Yeah that, off to the countryside with you, you're making the rest of us look bad. Seriously though, Amazing stuff, great combos and really good editing. More people should make these old school style combo videos
Lol no I haven't actually seen it, although I do know of the movie, but thank you very much! My goal is to make a decent combo video for every character in SF3.
I might do that in the future, though there's a lot of good tutorials for Ryu already, here's one. ruclips.net/video/w24zHEVdHQ8/видео.htmlsi=DbPsqnOEBlvFCG17
@@ghostaga Thanks for the quick reply, man. Started playing 3s two days ago. And in typical fashion, I've been doing a lot of guess parrying. I'm sure that with experience, I'll feel when I should actually parry.
@@Breeze06 Yeah no problem, and well you'll still be guess parrying even at mid to high levels, but the guess becomes more of a.... educated assumption. For example, if I get knocked down by the opponent, and this individual is not close to me and is rather at the distance that a perfect/max range low medium kick into an attack would be, then I will know that and I will also know that the opponent's only other options are to throw a projectile or dash up and grab/attack. So knowing this I would be able to safely do a wake up down parry in case the opponent does do a low MK and I'd be able to counter, if they don't then I'll still have more than enough time to block if a projectile is instead thrown or if anything else happens. Simple things like that, like you're still guessing, but from experience you'll be looking at what options your opponent has and also the common habits that the individual has shown while playing against you.
Scaling in 3s is sooo fckng dumb, imagine getting a hp into shory into SA in the face and getting less or 50%, meanwhile chun hits you with a couple kicks and halfs your life with the greatest of ease, also follow-up after... 😤 Anyway sorry for the pop of, but as a fellow ryu player too I just can't stand it, rlly cool combos, petition for a sf4 ryu video too xD
Ryu combo @ 1:53 against Alex ruclips.net/video/B_0aZwzqXO8/видео.htmlsi=REihL1jJOWWa9siC I have attempted this countless times at this point (well over 1000 tries), and have only been successful in getting the denjin to go to lvl 2 only once, and it was honestly random and damn near by accident because I had just got back to my controller, I tried the combo only twice, and didn't do anything remotely special, I actually mashed much slower than what I normally would do when attempting the combo and it somehow went to lvl 2 denjin and hit Dudley twice and made him bounce in the air just like it's shown in that video link. When it happened I was stunned as to what just occurred, so i didn't get to finish the combo lol, and I also unfortunately deleted the video recording of it after forgetting about it while I was deleting clips to make space for my PC storage. So yeah, I also didn't get to study the clip because of that, and so it's pretty much luck, or TAS required, but that particular denjin combo can actually 100% a few characters.
@@ghostaga Thank you so much for the detailed explanation. Much respect not only for your awesome videos, but also for taking the time to answer our questions.

Lol
It's so nice to see characters with simple tools having cool routes.
Awesome vid and amazing combos.
Appreciate it!
Man 3S combo videos in 2024, it's still a good time to be alive

Lol thanks
Ryu, lord of resets, stunner of gods
Your vids are always absolute fire, both the combos, and the editing/music
Thanks, glad you like them!
Man, I feel like firing up training mode and trying some of these.
Try them, all combos are doable, but a few do require a certain distance/screen position to be able to execute.
The beat drop on the KO is too clean
Agreed 👍🏾
The Urien reset was god-like!
long time 3s player, i thought i seen it all. some good oddities in here. this the type of stuff you lab and keep to urself, nice video
Thanks
this is amazing! the effort and skill on display is wonderful!
Thank you
Whaat new 3s combo video in 2024? This was dope. Loved the editing and music choices
Thanks!

If they ever do Tekken x Streetfighter (Tekken’s version) this song needs to be Ryu’s victory music, this was peak 90s fighter vibes.
This is insane m. Thank you ghostaga
Thanks
The instrumental is insane and great video as well btw
Thanks
Wasn't expecting a video like this to drop ever again
Never had my yt blessed like this before
Solid stuff, thanks for showcasing!

Twelve: let me switch back!

Much appreciated
SFIII Third Strike never gets old but little dusty
It was pure pleasure to watch
Great work bro. Would love to see what you can do with Enbu Yang.
Thanks, eventually I will make a Yang video.
Sick stuff my dude
Thanks
i just started playing 3rd strike with ryu... there is a long way to go
Amazing
Thank you! Cheers!
Hey. Can you make a ryu tutorial? Or an overall 3s tutorial?
I might do that in the future, though there's a lot of good tutorials for Ryu already, here's one.

Lol, I actually tried incorporating SF4 style combos in SF3, some work, most don't of course, but thanks and maybe one day I will.
Are you kidding me 😂😂 looks like a freaking tas vid 😅😅😅👏👏👏👌👌👌
20 years plus Ive veen saying Ryu is JUST as broken as the other shotos and this FINALLY proves it
0:38
Is it possible a tatsumaki after this kick?
No, heavy kick can't be combod and it's an attack that knocks the opponent out of juggle state.
Song is nice.
Incrível
Thanks
i will never understand these fantasy show combos but anyway nice work!
Tas supported?
You mean is it TAS supported? No, and there was one combo I couldn't do which pretty much requires TAS or extreme luck, so I left it out.
@@ghostaga then it's sick. Gonna try some. Thanks :)
@@ghostaga Just curious what combo would require luck, if you care to share :)
