I am surprised that Filipinos can afford to eat at expensive places. Also there malls long beautiful. How come the western malls look deserted ? We still make more money over here.

Some Filipinos have a high income. Many are college educated and both spouses work. Malls are very popular here. Especially the restaurants.

Like in most countries, there is an upper 30% of the adult population that are well off. Philippines is no exception. As for Western malls being empty, this video was probably filmed on a weekday. When I'm in Canada malls are practically dead on weekdays.
