Yes you can, you'd probably just need to eq it differently on the amp, but it should be fine using the clean channel

I am quite sure it can be used for semi accoustic as I saw someone on youtube reviewing guitar ampli with semi accoustic guitar and the distortion was used as well. It shocked me, unbelievable it could be used with such guitar
