Great job Mike !! I'm going to make one for sure but I don't have a cement driveway, I'll have to figure out some wheels that work on gravel. Thanks for the great video !!

You did a great job again Mike! I hate my empi one and I was planning to modify it, but maybe I should build one like yours. Awesome!

using them both today and OMG they are great!!!!

you could just weld a plate on the bottom edge if you already have the empi one. It just wasnt woth straightening that one more work than making a new one.

I may trim the vertical leg on the angle iron off and the add a larger angle iron. Basically make it wider like yours.

@@FixinBugsNStuff yea just use some 2 inch angle Iron on the bottom will work just fine. OMG what a difference. check the wheel link I put up on amazon they are super durable. Took like 6 major hits to break off one of those wheels. Full power throws to the ground. I Fn lost it when that happened!!!

in the 70s and 80s we all used the bottom part of a Grocery Store Shopping Buggy to store our VW Aircooled engines under Work Benches built on both sides of a 1 car Garage that allowed you to still park in the garage and those motors never fell off the frames & Wheels of the Shopping Cart We could always find Abandoned Buggies and another nice feature was if you cut the basket off and left the handle you could push the engines around easy those Carts required no Welding and the Wheels kept the engine at a good height to roll the motor into and out of the engineCompartent on most of the Irooled Vehicles ! We typically had a few freinds lift the cars,Bus, Buggy off the ground high enough to roll the motor into and out of place (you could shim the motor with 2X4s andScrap Wood to make Alignment easier with just a CrowBar to “Fine Tune” Adjustment for the bolts

One of my first welding projects. Didnt want to pay money for the cheap empi. Did the same with the wider bottoms. Have not thown it against a wall or across the shop, but holds up to the engine pretty well.

Glad I'm not the only one that has sh#t fits in the garage when things don't work the way they are supposed to. As always, great videos and information Mike. I'm going back out to my garage and find my hammer I threw......
