As a NJ native, who loves the real Cape May. My family stays at the Beach Club every time we go and love it as well as the Cape May Cafe dinner buffet! So glad you did a review
This visit made us want to stay here. Still a lot of Disney hotels to pick off our bucket list. The theme feels incredibly immersive and relaxing. We honestly can't wait to go back to the buffet to. This and Boma are fighting it out for favorite Disney Buffet in my mind 😆. Happy we made it here. Thank you!
Thanks for this review. I didn't even know this place existed and now I will put it on my list for our next trip. I'm a huge seafood fan and this looks like it is worth it!
Hello from Ky..I love watching ur videos..I dont travel do to a disability but ur videos make me feel like im right there with ya..Hope u guys have a great day & more ppl find ur channel. ❤
Thank you so much Bobbie! We really appreciate the kind words and I am glad the videos make you feel like you're with us :) Your comment made our day, thanks so much for the support. Have a wonderful week!
Yum! Added to our list to try! We are not huge seafood people, but it looked like there was a pretty wide variety of options! The beach/yacht club area just has great vibes too - so many delicious restaurants. So many great places in Disney World in general to try 😅 we’ll get to them all eventually! Awesome review as always!
Beach, Yacht, Boardwalk, Swan & Dolphin, they're all great 😃. The Epcot resort area definitely has a distinct charm and so much great food! Cape May was one of our favorites and definitely worth checking out. Thank you!
Hello Jay & Sam I am a Life Time Floridian 🏖🏝🏖 My mate & I ..were Foodies since ever Cape Mate Cafe ..was a must on every Disney Trip 🫶🏻🏖💯🏖🫶🏻 is still is Twice on my resent trip Agree with Sam on those Corn Bread 👎🏻 not good … ALL other OPTIONs 👍🫶🏻💯🫶🏻👍 you guys did not try the Paella 🥘 Fairly new to the many delicious options. I went back 3 🤣🤭🤣 for the Paella The Apple bread pudding the same Love Love the Disney Beach Club 🏖 and ALL it’s inviting Beach Theme Lobby beautiful FRESH FLOWERs arrangements Great Review ..I ENJOYED 🎉
I actually did have the Paella off camera 😆. I just felt like the vlog was going long and didn't want to throw too much in here. It was great! I literally had 3 full plates of food and can't wait to go back here. I can see why this is a must for you. One of my favorite buffets ever. This was our first time inside the Beach Club too and we get the hype 😃. Immersive theme and calming atmosphere. Can't wait to go back and eat more. Thank you!
A lot of people are disappointed the Crab Legs are gone but we really enjoyed our meal here. Hope your experience is as positive as ours 🙂. Thanks for watching!
I love a good seafood Buffay. Sad about the up charge for the crab legs. I’m very happy you got the bread pudding lol. I think both resorts between beach club and yacht club are amazing loved the yacht club when we stayed lol
They're both definitely bucket list stays for us. Everything looks incredibly tranquil and convenient. Even without the crab legs this was still great 😃. Can't miss a Disney Bread Pudding. This was definitely a top tier buffet in our opinion.
I think Cape May character breakfast is one of the more underrated options on property. We thought the food was good and the character interactions were plentyful and top notch.
Cape Mays used to be one of our favorites, use to be is the key phrase here. When they started charging $29.00 per pounds for the crab legs that use to be included we have not been back, it is just to expensive. If they would have say added a surcharge of say $10.00 or so per person it might have been tolerable but $29.00 per pound, no way. As time goes by I am sure many will never know what it use to be like and this is what Disney is counting on.
We agree, going from free to $29 is wild. Unfortunately we never had the chance to experience this restaurant in its glory days and were subsequently impressed with what we got. We enjoyed it but can definitely understand a fan feeling burned by that change. I think $10 or even $15(still high) might be in reason. We definitely couldn't afford another $29. Sorry we couldn't compare and contrast before and after but thanks for watching.
I know this was your first visit so you wouldn’t have a comparison but the restaurant used to have a very profound fishy smell. I’m wondering if that is still there? Glad you enjoyed your meal so much!!
The restaurant definitely still smells fishy. I don't think you can really get rid of it since they seem to be steaming fish at the center of the buffet. However, the fish I ate didn't really taste fishy if that makes sense? We really enjoyed it here. Definitely no place for anyone with a shell fish allergy though. Thank you 😃.
We love Cape May Cafe. Sad the crab legs are no longer included, but given their scarcity & high prices, it is not surprising. We definitely pay extra for the crab legs. 🦀 We love Boma and Zebra Domes, but IMHO, the Oreo Bon Bons are the superior dessert of the two. It is an Oreo cookie topped with an Oreo ganache, all dusted with cocoa powder & a dollop of chocolate. 🫶🏾 The ganache is far superior to "The Gray Stuff." The Oreo Bon Bons are labor intensive & they were unavailable for a number of years, but finally returned due to guest demand. We eat at Cape May Cafe every visit, usually on arrival day when we are starving. Great seafood buffet. 😋 We also enjoy their Character breakfast. Thank you for your review. 👏🏾👏🏾
Oh wow, thanks for the information 😃. I can definitely see why the Oreo Bon Bons are incredibly popular. I love Oreos but they aren't my particular go-to flavor, however, you can certainly taste the quality here. This was without a doubt one of my favorite Buffets ever. Everything is subjective in regards to "better" with quality spots like here and Boma which is why my preference for either or could change based off what I'm in the mood for. Wish I could have experienced this great restaurant pre crab leg upcharge. Still can't wait to go back though. The character breakfast is currently on our list of must-dos. We really appreciate the comment and your insight.
Heyyy Jersey!!! According to Disney the Beach Club Resort and the Cape May restaurant are New England inspired, but I actually mentioned in the intro at 02:21 that the real Cape May is in NJ which is not part of New England. Thanks so much for watching :)
Before the pandemic Cape May was worth it. You also got Crab legs and a really good seafood salad with shrimp and small scallops. they did away with that since the pandemic. Now if you want Crab legs you have to pay an additional fee. RIDICULOUS
We had a great time but we never experienced Cape May pre pandemic. I wish the crab legs were included and have heard that was one of the highlights here. Having no scallops is a bummer but the seafood salad I had was great. Although Idk if this was the same seafood salad. Most new guests here, like us, don't know what we're missing. Hopefully theyll bring those offerings back.
I consider myself almost lucky I never experienced the free crab legs version of Cape May Cafe because I'm sure I'd be disappointed too. This was my first time and I really liked it 😃. Hope they bring them back though.
Disney used the pandemic to cut things out other buffets and to ruin Ohanas meal too. I wish they would explain what the excuse is that they never brought the buffets back to what they once were.
Definitely agree with the pandemic causing cuts to experiences. Although we went to Ohana right before the Pandemic and just recently and both meals were on the same level in our opinion. I think what happened with Disney is representative of a greater trend economically during and post pandemic. Where tightening budgets leads to a loss in value. I think with Disney though it's a lot more obvious because they're a consumer based company.

Thanks for this review! It was a detailed review but sometime hard to hear you.
Sorry! The restaurant was loud and I think the external mic we used slipped out at one point. No worries and thanks for watching.
Thank you sam for your review I can't do seafood anymore ❤
The non seafood options were great! I really enjoyed this meal much more than I anticipated. You're so welcome :)
@ThemeParkFoodies thank you

In our opinion, we highly recommend this spot. If you're a seafood fan it's a must in my mind. I've been getting hungry answering these comments 😆.

Robert Frost was an interesting guy
Hello from NJ. 🤔What part of New England is Cape May in? This is a Jersey Shore themed restaurant, not Cape Cod Café 😁...still love ya

They used to have all-you-can-eat stone crab that was incredible we went twice that weekend lol

The best!!!
With crab prices, it’s never gonna be free again
Sad
Agreed! It's unfortunate, we still really enjoyed it though 😃. Maybe next time I'll have to swing for the crab legs upcharge.
