I worked at Tesla starting in July of 2017 as an Operations Analyst out of the Bethlehem, PA distribution center facility and left as a Program Manager based out of Austin, TX as of September 2021. I spent most of my time in the distribution and supply chain organizations.
Before Tesla, I was a Director of Business Intelligence and Pricing at the largest Pet Food & Supply distributor in the US, Phillips Pet Food & Supplies based out of Easton, PA. My wife and I also owned a small business in Bethlehem, PA between 2016 and 2019.
I have been a shareholder of Tesla since 2012 and currently own Tesla stock. Nothing I say constitutes as investment or financial advice.

My car drives me around by itself. I love my car and I still believe in the company. I hope we dip close to $100-$120 again. I wanna load the boat. Apart from Tesla what would be the best 5 etfs for a beginner
In no order: 1) VOO 2) QQQM 3) SCHG/VUG 4) VTI 5) SCHD/DGRO. Personally I put down 2.3m$ on few ETFs, still diversifying. it was this time last year I made my first million with a liquid 200k.handed it to a trader here in CA, I get weekly pay out which I put back on long term ETF's. Google will be a huge buy for me when the market bottoms.
Good picks, Smart strategy for beginners, Please share this Expert with me.
She is Katherine Elizabeth Humphreys look her up online
Kath! Good to see her recommended here, Kath's mind is made for stock analysis, she is someone every starter should look up to, this is my 3 year letting her grow my funds and at the same time guiding me to the right efts to diversify to, I added VGT. So, VOO 25%, QQQM 25%, VGT 25%, SCHD 13%, DGRO 12%. This is my long term portfolio in M1 Finance that I’ll invest $10K a month into for the next 30 years in a compound interest calculator through investing 10k per month for 30 years, this projects to be $35.6 million.
Katherine !! I know her from my early days as an investor. She's brilliant and patient. Many of my colleagues have worked with her, and I highly recommend her.
Shorts are getting decimated in the after market. Love it.
I'm gonna buy 40 Robo-Taxis next week, love it. I'm gonna be a millionaire with my Robo-taxis next week, can't wait, love it.
Elon was wrong in his robotaxi timeline. You have to add that in 2015-2017 many automakers where saying their cars would become autonomuous by 2020. Without that context he appears a conman. You also need to look at other incredible statements that turned out right, such as prediction model Y would become the best-selling car in the world. It is also obvious you don't need lidar which he always emphasized.
Is that a joke or are you talking about this Monday April 26th? The stock is about 50% its prior high.
I say this every quarter - Tesla has a margin better than anyone in automotive OR energy storage equipment manufacturers! Any company in any of these spaces with 15% EBIDTA in the middle of production ramps, huge CAPEX, and market price wars is an incredibly resilient company.
Some of the best analysis I've seen on this company. Super impressive channel analysis guys 👏 👏 👏
Tesla never said what their strategy was until now. Everybody was just guessing up to this point. I love it!
Yes, when Tesla does not come out and announce their plan rumors keep spreading and grow larger. Along with rumors comes uncertainty.
What would you love about this, they just said they're going to go compete against Uber and Lyft. You're going to have to be in the car, this just proves that self-driving is not coming anytime soon.
Him canceling a visit to India, and Mexico going nowhere. This is not good news..
Wall Street is going to sell this thing like a hot potato this is going down to 110 probably never thought it would go this low.
I feel bad for the suckers that went out and bid this up to 160 today, what fan boys are going to be slaughtered
@@Joedisney yea you are clueless about Tesla. Everything Elon has planned has become a reality. Timing may be a little off but he does deliver. Semi-truck, cybertruck, FSD is almost done . So close. Why do you think Tesla has the smartest people in the world working on FSD, for shits and giggles? He is spending billions on NVIDIA chips. So many chips that nvidia can’t sell him what he needs. He has to go to AMD. Go buy your cr@p Disney stock. Disney can’t even pick the right CEO.
@@JoedisneyLike Elon Musk said, If you don't believe in FSD don't buy the stock. I own FSD and love it. It's like my own chauffeur.

You guys are great together!
Can’t wait to try Tesla ride share and Cybertruck.
I noticed they included the empty space in the picture of vehicles at the supercharger. Didn't Franz say "watch this space"?
You’re all right! Wasn’t there an overhead picture of the hybrid unboxed method in their deck.
There's no logical reason to partner with Uber and honestly the hidden beauty of this is that when people ride in a Tesla for the first time they're going to learn about Tesla's and potentially may buy one for themselves...
If Tesla partners with Uber and gave away $84k profits per car, Uber could become a top 100 company. Tesla can stick to making just $5.5k profit per sale instead. Good plan. Not good for Tesla, but great for Uber.
@davidbeppler3032 Sorry, how are people determining that the price of a RoboTaxi is remotely close to the price of a human operating a vehicle through a RideShare? My understanding of economics is that if the marginal cost of operating a fleet is lower, then the competitors in the market will lower their prices to gain market share to maximize their profits. Can you explain how competing fleets of robotaxis will maintain $84k of margin per car per year? I think this entire scheme needs to be thought about more critically. It's a real head scratcher. I bought puts last week and now after seeing this half-baked announcement, will be buying more puts tomorrow. Put another way, if Uber/Lyft could pay their drivers $0 to gain market share from each other, would they do it? I think you get the picture.
@@ZTK-RC Sure. It is just math. Tesla builds a car for $19.5k. Sells it for $25k. Tesla profits $5.5k.
Tesla builds a car for $19.5k and rents it out 20 hours a day, 7 days a week 360 days a year. At $0.25/mile, 45 miles per hour. How much is that over 3 years?
Timing rocks
Thanks!
Elon said Cybercab. Is that the name leak😂?
Good discussion. I'm very happy to hear they are moving ahead with the next gen vehicles separate from robotaxi.

Didn't think about the insurances
Amazon and travel and tractor trailer situations. Maybe there might be a split in the infrastructure of the roads.
Is a new $25~30k compact model with a steering wheel coming or not?
I'm still confused after Q1 call!
When talking about the AWS-like AI inference compute service future, I wish someone asked this:
Being able to provide customers with such service will require robust network infrastructure since it's provided via wireless connections from Tesla cars. Is this where integration with Starlink comes in?
The excitement in all your voices and faces 🤑
is it really that hard to get tax credits for the model 3
They could give FSD discounts for drivers based equivalent to miles completed
They will drop a model 3 rwd long range and a model Y juniper with a rwd long range. Then get a GTI sized hot hatch model 2. At scale they can go drive by wire and 48V. All almost the same infastructure making production easier.
Contracted?
do you think theres a chance the 25k car IS the cybercab?
If Tesla can generate 30k per year on a driverless cab that costs them 25k doesnt it make more sense to keep it for themselves?
It will take years before one can "put your car on the ride hailing network". None of you mentioned the immense city by city regulatory approvals required for level 5 autonomy.
Tesla continues to lead with the vision and charge of FSD and launching transportation in a unique and forward thinking way.
New ERA folks! New day!
Excellent job, gentlemen! I really enjoyed this. I appreciate you all.
I have two harmonious answers to Emmet's question about the ride-hailing app:
1. When people the it costs less, they will automatically go to it.
2. When people learn how much safer it is than having a human drive them, they will automatically go to it.
Yes, in that order. Even though safety should be John Q. Public's #1 concern, I suspect price will be the strongest motivator.
And, to Farzad's question about the next vehicle, I agree with Brian. Look what the Bug did for VW and the Corolla did for Toyota some 70 years ago. Same scenario is my guess.
CYBERTRUCK is an excellent ROBOTAXI
And an upgraded with SBW would also be an excellent RoboTaxi.
Both have excellent entry access for the infirm or encumbered, and both have lots of storage. I wonder whether a wheel chair friendly version of the Cybertruck is possible?
It won't surprise me if there is an acceleration of Cybertruck production for RoboTaxi purposes.
Did Tesla say multiple model on the $25K platform? That would be checkmate to competitors.
No, it's multiple models partway between model 3/y platform and new robotaxis/$25k EV platform. Maybe Model 3/Y Lite?
Hey Farzad...I'm a traditional/natural design builder, wilderness guide, and naturalist...So you've (among very few others) become my "go-to" for all things "Elon M." related which, indirectly, is what's happening in the world technology-wise...I would love to see a video, even a short one, that profiles "who you are" since this channel, to me, is exceptional in content though I don't think most realize that...This comes from a 63-year-old "traditional person" who has spent years without running water, electricity, or a vehicle, from rural to wilderness settings. Thank you for keeping somebody like me well informed of this facet of our world...
A shrunken down m3 and Y?
I added big at low 140s, betting this as a bottom and based on the fact that stock is super oversold and already priced in a lot of bad news. God's wisdom.
Hahaha i love it the move that TL0 is doing today😅😅
They're going to take the Model 3/Y chassis, shrink it down, and lower the price. It's a major refresh to an existing architecture, not a new architecture made for "unboxed".
A Tesla ride hailing app would be a good marketing move as it would expose normies to Tesla EVs.
How are they going to manage the payment system?
Probably similar to what I do with charging network
While I am a believer ultimately in acceptable FSD, I had to take the graphic with a grain of the drive hailing app with a big grain of salt. Developing an app is all well and good, but there is little real correlation with the actual readiness of FSD.
Tesla is doing Hybrids! (Sort of.) Hope you're having a good day, Farzad.
brian is so right with affordability
The same way sometimes Uber sends you a waymo car.
It's good your creating bomb space!
Yeah, we’re getting bombed alright !
DRIVEABLE = ROBOTAXI...
...So long as there is Steer-By-Wire (SBW) Which in turn requires 48V architecture. New Model 3s & Ys could be RoboTaxis.
With SBW the steering wheel can be electronically isolated which remove risks such as drunks, kids, or careless passengers from crashing the car.
Potentially This may make upgraded models more expensive due to additional parts. But mass volume manufacture of SBW should reduce the increase in costs and increasethe savings from 48V. In turn, these volume component cost reductions would help reduce parts cost for the Cybertruck.
Dont forget the "X", the app for everything!
The ride hailing could be over BOTH the Tesla app och the X app
Nick fucking called it!
To get Tesla Ride hail to work, they just need to lease cars at a special rate to Uber drivers who are tired of Uber. They lease cars at a great rate making it profitable and attracting passengers to Tesla app at the same time.
Epic group! Gibbs Emmit Lutz and sometimes Brian (lol) balance the hyper bullish thoughts of the others nicely...and I definitely lean hyperbullish on Tesla!...need these counter thoughts from such knowledgeable folks to help me with think things through. Then why havent they?
Hmm.... As much as I like FSD I have my doubts about bringing the fsd taxi functions to all cars... For example how will it detect if a person is lying below the car? This is what happened with cruise and why they needed to stop their ride share. The only solution I could think of would be to add some sensors or cameras below the car... I know it is a rare/edge case, but it needs to handle situations like this, because they will happen. But maybe their special robot taxi cars will have something like this... So while I think Tesla is far ahead of everyone, they are still not there, and I think the actual hardware isn't ready for all edge cases that can happen, even when it drives 99,9999% perfect... There is still 1 of 100.000 having an accident. And I think the actual hardware has too many flaws (like missing sensors below the car, or more cameras) to get to 1 in 100 million.

Let Uber fade away
Why do people think Tesla should give away $84k per car in profits?!
Tesla should not have profits.... they are a car company. Let Taxi companies have that profit. WHY?!!!!
Those profits don't exist. They are based on estimates that currently include paying for a human operator. Lyft and Uber will lower their rates on their Tesla fleets to compete with each other to an amount which is just over their marginal cost to operate. This is how they've always operated. People are clueless about economics and eat up Tesla bullshit press releases. The quality of education in the United States has been purposely nerfed for decades and we are seeing the lack of critical thinking in the markets. Cheers and good luck!!
Bunch of hype and hyperbole in this video.
Imagine RoboTaxis where the marginal cost per ride is only $1-5. There is no money here in the long run because there is going to be a race to the bottom by all of the operating Tesla robo taxi fleets and competing services. The only value here is selling a Tesla that people believe will earn them the same amount of money as a human driving a car. Takes a complete idiot to believe that. The Tesla bull astroturfing is comical.
24:00. I 100% disagree. There is no "uber network effect". I have zero interest in getting in some random stranger's smelly car, and having to socialize with said person. I see no difference between using Uber or Lyft. If I had the option to be driven around in an autonomous Tesla, where the cab is the temp I want, I'm listening to the music I want, I don't have to deal with a smelly stranger of questionable trustworthiness, why wouldn't I go that way? Especially if it's less money? What "network effect"? I don't think you understand what a network effect is. It's like how if you're on Facebook, you don't see post from Google+. This is just a ride man, there's nothing stopping you from using Uber, Lyft, and Tesla depending on what's most convenient in the moment. It's not like I need all my friends to be using the same thing just so I can get to their house.
came here for the AI thumbnail...
Tesla will copy Uber. Revolutionary!
Instead of selling robotaxis to Uber and Lyft they're going to use them on their own platform and outcompete them. Because they won't have to pay drivers 90% of the time, and the other 10% they're paying their own customers for sending their cars to the network. That's like 80% lower taxis costs than Uber or Lyft. They're fucked as soon as this gets high volume
@@erenjaeger9418 if I am wrong, please forgive me in advance, but I don’t believe FSD will be ready for this in a very long time. Even if they somehow manage to crack it, it would take ages for the government agencies to allow them to use it for passengers.

All Tesla stock moves depend what Elon hypes about. When the artifically created hype dies, eventually the stock will plummet.
Robotaxi is fake - fsd is level 3; it has zero hope of being anything better any time soon. It iterally can't hear a siren; it can't hear at all. It can't interpret hand signals from someone directing traffic, it can't back out of a parking spot, it can't negotiate a parking garage. FSD isn't full level 5. It can't recognize a police car or emergency lights; it can't recognize a school bus unloading children; it can't tell a bolder from a tumbleweed or crumpled newpaper. If this is the "big" move - move down to 100.

The app for ride hailing is the easiest part. You guys are falling for classic tech bait and switches.
To me, it’s disappointing that Tesla and Elon can’t (or don’t want to) get the Gen 3 vehicle out before second half of 2025. Instead this more expensive hybrid approach as some kind of stop gap to get them to the full Gen 3 RoboTaxi. I see the elimination of the Gen 3 driver based car. This would make Reuters article correct as the “model 2” driver car is DOA. And in the long run is going to hurt Tesla.
They are probably sandbagging the model 2 why the hell would they announce the date and price this early it would just Osborne the model 3 especially in non US markets where they desperately want a compact. They should say shit about model 2 until the day they are ready to ship it
It's crazy that the airspace is much more safe to travel due to Tesla Tech.
