Yeah that that is super cheap as most places are $150M HKD plus. Some of the places up there go for $400M HKD to $600M HKD plus. One of the most expensive areas in HK, if not the most expensive . That area set a record a few year back for the most expensive place in HK. It was crazy money.
Thanks for taking me back to Hong Kong, it’s been over 5 years since I have been back and I am travelling back through your videos! Love the HK vlog series!
glad to see you are back to hong kong, janice! lots of things happened here these pass few years, which changed many things. you might notice it during your stay in hong kong. enjoy your trip!
Yea I frequented a lot of hk diners when I was there and it always does the job. I love all their meal deals too. Ahhh humid heat.. its like being in a steam room 🥵
🍜 Janice counting wontons and letting us know how many bites of noodles lol ✊🏽😩!! I’ll know to order more! 🤣 I had a laugh because I would think the same
Hey Janice... You are having such a fantastic Hong Kong adventure... and Mum and Dad seem to be enjoying it as well in the few little snippets we see of them. Our weather here in the US, at least in most of the region where I live... is experiencing high temps and extreme humidity. But of course, I'll take that over what some other parts of the US are experiencing. Major floods (Yellowstone National Park), the West Coast and the red wood forest fires, the southern states with either major flooding or (if you can believe it) drought. It's just madness. I'm not a person that can tolerate the humidity AT ALL. But like I said, I'll take what mother nature gives me for the time being. You really found some good food and the sights at the Peak were phenomenal! As always Janice, an enjoyable video for someone like me who will most likely never be able to see the things you are actually seeing. Hugs, Penny Sue
I miss hong kong.. i'm from the philippines and i visit hk during summer before pandemic... hopefully things ease up already... thank you for your videos im taking notes so that i will go there next time...
I really like the variety within in each of your videos. Places to visit, eateries and general street/getting around content too. I would have ordered that second bowl of wonton noodle soup too 😁
Great video. I like that you go to different “locals” places rather than the ones all the other vloggers usually go to. Wondering if they have English menus at these places or need google translate. It seems pretty safe and normal walking around but wondering if you had and concerns about going there considering the political unrest and crackdowns that happened last few years.
another excellent video. Professional videography, superb camerawork. Interesting to see so many different places in HK. Can't wait for your next video.👌👌
@@JaniceFung I didn't go to that one but I've been to the one in New York. It's a bit touristy but the food is very American and lots of movie inspired memorabilia.
Mak's is so yummmy. They have gooood beef brisket noods. Janice, Singapore has a bo lor yao place called Champion Bolo Bun (they say they are the world's first bolo bun concept store). They have a breakfast spam and cheese bolo bun they make in limited quantities. I am excited to try it when I hit SG.
I am loving your Hong king vlogs the food has been lovely ..The dumplings soup portion and the dishes were way to small ..As for the water very cheap and that dinner looked ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS.You always have the best videos I love them so much ..c😍💕🥰❤️
I just saw reports that they are doing 3 days hotel quarantine and 4 day home quarantine! Hopefully by the end of the year, all the hotel quarantine requirements will be gone !
The last time I was at The Peak was far too many years ago, and there was no Mak's Noodles. In fact, there was a distinct lack of good food there. I'm glad things have improved.
Another great video Janice, 😍 Oh I miss Mak noodles, $45hk now? Last time I had them was about 10 years ago & it was about $32 Still small size 😂 I need 2-3 bowls to be full 😂
You should go to the ' Australia Dairy Company' restaurant. It has nothing to do with Australia, apart the owner liked australia so he named his restaurant after it. They have great food but the what they are famous for is the speed of service. Worth a trip there.
Hey Janice ! Great video . Just moved to HK and your videos are really helpful . So a quick question, in the last restaurant you ate dinner at , can you tell me the name of the dishes. It looked absolutely appetising . But I find a hard time ordering as most of the menu is in the local language and I always end up ordering the wrong food in every restaurant
The central market foodhall is so interesting! Have to go there next time I am in HK. And you know what that place that your auntie took you to蓮香樓closed down today as they cannot survive due to the pandemic 😢
I love watching ur channel but i think im a little selfish i think your so pretty but i always look forward to every saturday . keep up the good work love it!!

ok i just googled - there's a 4 bedder for sale at The Peak for a cool $88 million HKD
You probably want to check this again.

HK restaurants rarely disappoint. Even the low end ones are amazing. Feeling that humid heat of the HK August
Yea I frequented a lot of hk diners when I was there and it always does the job. I love all their meal deals too.
Ahhh humid heat.. its like being in a steam room 🥵
You are lucky to dine in the ionic Lin Heung tea house as it was announced yesterday it will closed down for good!
I saw that too! 😢 the one I went to in this video is their other restaurant that opened in 2009 k - I hope this one isn't closing as well..
@@JaniceFung Oh, you are right. The one that you went in Sheung Wan has not closed yet!

Ah i want Wonton noodles now!!
Also i never had the pineapple bun with butter but I remember at Dontonbori, Osaka I had it with ice cream. So good!
So so glad you went there to try their wonton 👍👍

Lol I had a photo on the Bubba Gump bench 🙂 Another great video of HK Janice!

I like when you make videos in this style.
I’m glad you like it! Thanks for watching ☺️
Great video! It brings back all the wonderful memories when I was in Hk. Missed wonton noodles 😋 can’t find any good ones here in Sydney.
I know right! I can’t find a bowl of wonton noodles that compares
The last time I was at The Peak was far too many years ago, and there was no Mak's Noodles. In fact, there was a distinct lack of good food there. I'm glad things have improved.
Yeah there’s a decent amount of restaurants here now
I like your randomness
Haha thank you?
Also, when you were looking at the Bon Aqua water, that sounded like Virginia Chan saying you were a sucker for a bargain. 😅
Haha it does?! I gotta tell her 😅 it wasn’t actually Virginia

👍👍💜👍💜 love all the food ...hot milk tea 👍👍👍 still not found a good one outside HK
There’s a hk cafe in Sydney that does it pretty well!
first time i had maks noodle house was in Van BC. the bowls were small like the one you had. i think i ate 3 bowls.
Haha I don’t blame you. I can totally do 3 bowls as well
Absolutely love your hk vlogs as we are going end of the year.
Would you say majority of the restaurants + cha chan teng have English menus avail??
I looove that Black & White milk cup and sauce. I gotta Google where I can buy a set! ☕️

ahh I sent there a few years ago! I have a video on my channel about it too. I really enjoyed their eggs haha
Holy molly Janice, the Chinese restaurant in sheung wan just closed down yesterday. Mostly old staffs not even got any notice with $
I know I saw :( but the one I went to (which is affiliated with the one closed down) - I dont think that's closing
Yeah, I think the pineapple bread would be much better if the butter was melting. You actually remembered to bring your umbrella for once. 😁
Haha it’s because it was pouring when I went out
Love your videos

That’s a great video idea, thanks Alicia!

Your Cantonese is so good. I cannot detect a foreign accent at all.
I studied in hk for a while when I was young
The Peak, much better view in the evening.
It’s a completely different vibe!
How easy is it to travel in and out of Hong Kong now?
I think it’s easier now! They have decreased the number of Hotel quarantine days. Leaving hk is pretty simple compared to entering
The food at Kam Wah cafe was so decadent 😋 Please find a way to stream the smell and the flavor of your videos!
Hahaha how crazy would that be!
I like hearing you speak Chinese. It is Cantonese, right?
I asked family and friends to come to ExperienceHK but I don't think any will come with me, I might still come for some of the shows and the food tho.
Nice :) pls say hi if you see me! 😬

Mak’s Wonton Noodle still a Michelin star?
I… think so? 🤔
The seafood paella is too goopy and looks like a risotto though
Yeah I agree. The soup and coffee was good though!
If you need to ask the price you won’t be able to afford it
I gotta know if it’s a good deal tho

Max wonton noodles soup. What happened?? Why is it that small portion already eh??? Omg. The wontons are even so tiny now!
