Acrylic isn’t plastic, but I do get your point. If it makes you feel any better, there’s a lot of people who still appreciate humans being humans, and not “plastic” at all.
Yes, dental care is too expensive for most people. But PLEASE do not put acrylic anywhere on your skin or mouth. It is known to be extremely toxic in some cases, and can lead to severe allergic reactions that I personally experience with any nail extension product (yes, I've tried them all).
I tried acryl nails for a while, for natural look and a bit longer nails but my own nails and fingertips became a bit broader because of this. I think bc they press it on the nails. After wearing them 8 months, I noticed that when I'm typing on my phone I constantly touch the wrong letters on my keybord. This started after wearing acryl manicure. Never again.
Did you try uv gel instead? There are tons of products like this, that have to be cured under uv led lamp, including ones dedicated for sensitive nails, with tendency to allergic reactions 😊if done by professional technician, it’s safe
As a nail tech, this is horrifying! I wonder how quickly they created an allergy to acrylates? With it being in the mouth I would imagine it would occur pretty quickly. There’s a reason things like getting veneers cost so much. You’re paying for the knowledge to get them done properly, skills to make them last and look good, products, equipment, time… please don’t risk your health over something like this. Go to the proper professionals for the services you want. If that was a licensed nail tech I really hope they lost their license. Somehow I don’t think that would be enough to stop them from continuing that nonsense. 😢
tbh this bootlegged dental and healthcare work is directly linked to financial inaccessibility in these fields. the cost of care is so high people have to resort to stuff like this. its not good, but its the reality
Dental labs: spend years developing new materials that are as biocompatible and neutral for your health as possible, so patients get the safest options Patients: painting teeth with acrylic nail polish that is known to be toxic 💀💀💀
Oh I thought this was gonna be a fun fact about how a dentist accidentally discovered acrylic nails, using YES acrylic for dentistry. His name was Frederick Slack. I used to be a dental assistant and as a last resort to repair a broken tooth, the dentist pulled out monomers that smelled exactly like a nail salon which led me to look up this fact 😊
No etching or bonding? Actually, girl literally used a file for the nails, to etch the teeth and then paint on the product. And yes, you are correct, it's not safe to ingest.
I meaaannn hey, nail techs messing with teeth isn’t THAT weird of a concept if you remember that barbers used to also be dentists and surgeons up until like a couple hundred years ago or so … 😅
What.. tf… you can give yourself an allergy by getting gel on your skin, why tf would ANY licensed nail tech even consider for a second doing this? 🤦🏽♀️
Exactly. Even having insurance make little difference. Dentists and mental health professionals basically have free rein in what they can charge and not have to worry about submitting to an insurance company or reduced fees. I am on disability due to a number of autoimmune diseases and my medical costs are astronomical. Medicare nor Medicaid cover dental. One of my autoimmune diseases causes my mouth to be dry amongst other things which in turn causes my teeth to literally fall out. Implants are upwards of 75k. My solution? Don’t smile ☹️
Hiii Bentist! can u make a vid on things u should know before getting ur braces off?? I’m getting mine off in a month and 2 days and I’m running out of braces vids to watch LOL
I love your videos i watch them while I am so sore after getting three dental bridges into implants my gums hate me right now and your videos make me feel better
Acrylics are used in dentures too, but they're fully cured (and even then they can cause allergic reactions)... uncured acrylics shouldn't go anywhere on the human skin, they can cause many problems, including cancer 💀
As an artist. Acrylics arent toxic. Oil, varnish, and Ceramic base paints and polishes are though. Usually a salon uses Oil and Varnish bases, that's why nail polish smells a bit like spray paint they're toxic. That's why you need a special oil (acetone) to be able to remove nail polish. Acrylic warm water will get it right off. If you're an obvious nail biter salon artist usually dont use Oil and Varnish base polishes. They can use acrylic. However in the mouth Acrylic can be reactivated by moisture. That's why you need to wait 24hrs per layer of acrylic paint to dry So they don't mix together with the color below it. The UVB light only drys the outter layer of the paint on the tooth, a crack, scratch from eating or brushing her teeth will make an opening to the not fully dry paint underneath. So her whole mouth is gonna become a slobbery white 😂. Its non toxic so not an issue to laugh at her, she'll be fine.
I would be horrified if this guy did an authentic “Kubric stare” with the framing, timing, lighting, etc. his eyebrows are perfectly menacing.😂 Awesome dentist, btw!👍
The monomer and acrylic concept originated via dentistry to hands and feet exstension building blocks right products drills and sanding buffing goes hand in hand or hand to cheek....just a few different tools and materials check set times walla mold shape pretty much the same still have to look at bubbles and seal the shine then cure rough spaces. Generally all are conducive via product reintroduced in variables
I know this is random to say but I can tell this doctor grew up in the hood. Just by his mannerisms and the way he speaks has a “swag” to it. Keep up the good work sir. 👍🏿✊🏿😎
Hi Bentist, India needs world's support As a content creator you might be aware of a case in India A female doctor 31 was raped and then murdered on duty in her 36 hour shift in Kolkata West Bengal while she was resting in a seminar room The current advisory of the hospital is advising: Women should go out with male protection Not to sit in isolated or poorly lit areas etc, They are trying to suppress the entire case by claiming it to be a suicide well it wasn't as per the post mortem reports, which says that the doctor was brutally murdered eyes bleeding spectacles broken, semi n*de body legs at 90 degree and what not It is horrific and as you have a great fan following across the world you should make some content regarding this, the whole world's protesting on this THANKYOU
dental care is def too expensive & i rly do understand why some ppl turn to “bootleg” medical care but there are still ppl doing this for aesthetics, even when the internet is right there for you to research this shit before ruining good teeth… personally i think teeth are great because they make everyone’s smile unique and after too many crime podcasts i want to be recognizable by dental records lol….. if your teeth are healthy keep up with normal hygiene and leave them alone!!! you’re a human, teeth are teeth, they don’t need to be “perfect” at the expense of your health (and it is a real health concern, your teeth aren’t chewing accessories, they’re part of your body!) if you have access and can afford it, go to a real dentist for regular checkups and all dental care, your teeth aren’t something to cut corners about if you can help it, even if what you have to pay is unfair 😭 edit: i don’t think cosmetic surgery is morally wrong or anything to judge someone over or that it should cost a crazy amount, BUT think it’s good to to try to convince people that you should get it done only if it’s safe, if you can’t afford it that rly does suck but… it’s a problem if your appearance is more important to you than your health and you’re willing to take risks like this….
I would rather let a professional do it , but I am a recovering addict… and I simply don’t have the money… and my teeth makes me so insecure… I always have my hand for my mouth and am afraid to laugh. While I’ve always been a person that smiles al the time 😢
These people know how desperate people get when they have bad teeth and can’t afford a dentist…. This is so sad because they take advantage of vulnerable people 😢
No words... scary what people will do to get a Hollywood smile.... sad that people can't be happy with what they have.. media has ruined people's self esteem meaning they don't value themselves and value othwrw opinions...
I just… everyone wants to be plastic but don’t seem to understand what we are is what makes us human.

Yes, accrylate allergies are so common from misusing products with that in them like gel polish
I tried acryl nails for a while, for natural look and a bit longer nails but my own nails and fingertips became a bit broader because of this.

Did you try uv gel instead? There are tons of products like this, that have to be cured under uv led lamp, including ones dedicated for sensitive nails, with tendency to allergic reactions 😊if done by professional technician, it’s safe
Once sensitised to acrylates, you're sensitised for life. Even skincare can trigger it.
Reminds me of when barbers used to do the occasional surgery
