Omg so I have a really good dentist bc the first time I got them tightened it did rlly hurt after and I have sensitive teeth so ik for a fact she is a great orthodontist
My son just got his braces taken off a few weeks ago. His orthodontist told him he has the cleanest teeth he’s ever seen after getting braces taken off. His teeth were so white you couldn’t tell he ever had braces. Every adjustment my son had his teeth always hurt the day after but it was only one day. I gave him an Advil and he was fine.
@@zeenaadmina4654 he brushed twice a day morning and night. He avoided sugar drinks and mainly drinks water. He used a water flosser(Synhop mini portable water flosser) I purchased from Amazon that had different attachments for braces. I also bought EverSmile orthofoam braces cleaner + gum care, he used that everytime he brushed his teeth. He used a pump of that on top of his toothpaste. Then twice a week he used 3% hydrogen peroxide. The orthodontist said that was okay to use everyday if he wanted.
Spacers, getting them tightened, coil springs, rubber bands, zig zag wires, & power chains is the most painful part about having braces. I hate it so much.

Just a tip for people who have sore lips because of braces. When I just got my braces the inside of my lips were hurting so much. I would put that brace wax on my braces the first row 4/6 teeth. I would put the complete strip on it. Especially at night, when it was the worst because I would suck my lips against my braces with my mouth. It's been 6 years since I had braces but I still have that quick thought sometimes when I leave home: ''Oh no I didn't put on my rubber bands'' and then I come to realization again ''Luckily that thing is out'' I just have a trauma from that stupid thing. My brother and sister ended up wearing braces for like six years because they wouldn’t do what the doctor told them. I went to a different doctor and wore my braces for six months because I did everything they wanted me to do. Do the right thing!
To avoid the canker sores, I put cotton wool under my lower lip and below the braces. When the cotton wool gets soaked, you won't notice it's there. Works perfectly, especially overnight!
I can still trace the line of scarring from both wires on my braces (top and bottom) all the way around from one cheek, along each lip, to the other cheek. The worst of the scarring is at the back, where the wire would poke out of the brackets on the back cheek. They were never cut short enough and I'd get my cheek caught and even ripped open. Wax did nothing but soften, melt.

For all the people worrying after seeing stuff like this.. it doesn't really hurt that much. It hurts for like 1-3 days after you get them put and when you get them tightened then it's completely fine. The pain isn't even that bad when it is painful it's not much more painful than a headache

This video is inspiring me to go back and finally finish my teeth. It’s been 10 years since I first had them.
Ohh, I had that headgear thingy. It was to expand my jaw a little. This was because my wisdom teeth were in a good angle, so they removed one premolar in each quadrant so my back teeth could come towards the front and my wisdom teeth could just be my new back teeth.
Worked out perfectly!
Hi do this treatment change ur face ? Bc i’m planing to get braces to moves my second and third molars forward to close the gaps of my first molars missing and I’m scared that it will impact my face
@@itstalia1792 how did this turn out?

2:47 is that Tylenol behind you?
No I think that’s mouth wash
You are definitely better than Dental Digest

I GOT MY BRACES 4-5 DAYS AGO AND THEY HURT SO MUCH ON THE FIRST 3 DAYS, I COULDNT EAT ANYTHING HARD BUT IM FINE-(ish) NOW, (day 4-5)
Any tips for the bite stoppers that go on top of ur teeth and not let u bite fully? It would be mad helpsul
My first time putting braces it hurted so baddd but when they tight it now it doesn’t hurt (I got it tight like 3 times)
My top braces were a breeze!!! However, when I got my bottom braces on, I literally couldn’t eat for two weeks because they hurt soooo bad!! But it gets so much better afterwards. I promise that adjustments hurt A LOT less than when you first get your braces on!! You’ll make it through it!!!!! (Floss every night)
I have braces but I don't have any pain... I get my Damon braces tightened and my teeth are sore for 5 min and then I only have to see the magic happening, I see changes on my mouth everyday! It was predicted I would have braces for 3 years, but maybe it will only be for 1 year and a half to 2 years because it is moving really fast, even my bite corrected a lot without rubber bands. Can't believe I was so scared before getting them! I eat everything (even hard, crunchy things, never broke a bracket), I actually forget I have braces until I have to floss 😂 I'm always like "damn, the hardest part of the day right here" 😅
Of course I know I'm maybe one of the few that don't have pain, but never be discouraged, it will always be worth it in the end!
I’m getting mine off later today!! So excited
People are over-reacting, Pain level 2 on a scale of 1-10. Tbh, I personally enjoyed that mild pain. The only shit part was Brushing and cleaning overall.
Everyone’s different like for me braces hurt quite a bit
I got braces yesterday the pain is 8 for me, also I have a under bite so when I bite down I bite straight on my sore teeth
@@Annieslayyyys I hope your Orthodontist gave you bite blocks. Pain will go away within few days.
True, it isn’t that bad but some people are different
Thankyou for your helpful video going to be getting my braces soon at 28 ..I’m nervous but excited and will take all notes
And here i'm watching this with Braces
Love your vids
Half my friends had braces. My one friend said the 1st week hurt like hell. She could barely eat, was teary eyed, miserable.
0:50 me having literally all of those all at once in different parts of my mouth 🥲
same but they took the power chain off AGHHA
I honestly want braces so bad.. I dont know why. I know they kinda suck and hurt, but I just want them so bad.
just got braces and 80% of the vids are so relatable
when people try to take their own braces off i genuinely begin to wonder what goes through their heads
Also for canker sores You can use salt water and swish it around in your mouth that really helps
I have been waiting for 2 years for you to take the bracket off after whitening, im so exited to see and hope you will show us soon.
For all the people worrying after seeing stuff like this.. it doesn't really hurt that much. It hurts for like 1-3 days after you get them put and when you get them tightened then it's completely fine. The pain isn't even that bad when it is painful it's not much more painful than a headache
It hurts like 2 weeks mannn
@@sharonler-2782Agreed. I had to wear braces for 4-5 years (my teeth were fucked), and every time I got them adjusted, they hurt for the first full week and the second week it would just start to feel better (but still not pain free) before having to go in and do it all over again. I practically lived off of cream soups and smoothies...
I just got my braces tightened ugh! My teeth are soo sore oww 😣
6:43-6:46 bro the way he moved his head and his facial expression was just so hilarious tell me u saw this 😂
i love your videos so much!
I have no color rubber bands on my braces
As a person with braces rn i can give 100% approval that this is a factual video
2:24 i can also relate to this video, i just got my rubber bands in, with them also being tightened. Which wasnt very pleasant
I just got my braces off and started wearing retainers and relate a lot from this video ~

I remember feeling the shift in my nose. Glad to be done with braces
6:18 bro really said “the way HES chewing…” I feel bad for that women now 😂😂😂
