What a gripping conversation l! Thank you, Luke and Martin. I always feel a little sad when you're finishing another episode and I'm looking forward to the next one! Thank you.
At 35:00, I completely agree with what Luke said. Arabic is my first language, and for most of my life, I thought I should be perfect at English. I felt ashamed of myself every time I made a mistake. However, when I started to learn Spanish, things were very different. I had no high expectations, no self-doubt, and no stress at all. I believe that families and schools should stop putting so much pressure on people to be perfect at any language
Btw, this episode is so good! I’m loving every part of it. I just had to get out of my bedroom because I was laughing so hard. Thank you for this hilarious episode 😂
I listened to the podcast episode before watching this RUclips one. Your story about a part of your work as a teacher is WOW, and I love to listen to it repeatedly. Thank you so much.
Hello Luke and Martin, what a fascinating conversation! I found Martin's insights and experiences regarding boarding school, and the potential harm it can inflict at a young age, particularly compelling. It’s true that such environments can be counterproductive, especially for children who still need their parents' presence to develop a strong sense of self. I must say, I would never have considered sending my now-grown son to such a school-or at least not before he was old enough to have the resilience to stand up to bullies. This episode was very enlightening and provided valuable perspective. It's really not possible to become a skeleton while listening to your discussions 😃.
Teacher Luke, I enjoyed listening to to both of you, always learning from your episodes, you are my favorite online teacher,if I listening to your episodes ,podcast,my speaking will get better and better, I am so grateful to know you , Teacher Luke.
Hi Luke, thank you for another interesting and funny episode. I really enjoyed listening to your conversation with Martin while being at work. I wish it was longer and he told more stuff that used to happen in boarding schools for example, or maybe something else.
I'm Mohammed from Saudi, I love your podcast, I've listen to several podcasts but yours is the best for me, it's not easy and not hard I feel it's above my level little bit, I'm planning to get the IELTS wish me luck
Martin with an 'M' for 'must be in another episode.' It was a hilarious episode; I really enjoyed it-probably one of my favorites. I love your podcast, Luke! I listen to it while running, working, or resting. Greetings from an Argentinean ex-Ninja Lepster (since this is my first time writing a message) living in Spain.
Thanks a lot for your podcast-its amazing.By the way-your pronunciation of "zmrzlina"was ok.I think that you'd be střely able to order some. And our presidents' name(Czech republic)is Petr Pavel-that's to your question ať the end.
Hi Luke! I m Ivana from Argentina. I kept my self as a ninja up today. I would like to share with you about my mom who attended a boarding school. She used to leave in the countryside, to be more precise, in Patagonia, near a small town called Camarones. Her mother (my grandma) taught my mom and her brother while they were child, as they lived in the farm. When they grew up and needed a highschool education they were sent to a boarding school in the north east of Argentina. More than 1000 kms far from their home. It was an awful experience for them. As Aaron and you said, it is not a good idea, but some abroad schools remain existing.
Wow! What a great episode. I love to listen this podcast, but this particular episode was very funny for me. I like your sense of humor. You both have a great vibe or sth like this. This conversation was meaby even better than rumbling with Amber and Paul [or meaby not :) ]. The last one about farting and ghosts also was very funny!
❤here I am neither a ninja nor a skeleton. thank you both for this delightful episode. It brought me back to school years and schoolmates I have lost tracks of. Great number of english idioms I did not know ( the bee 's knees e.g.) As I said in another comment english teaching is the easiest opporunity to travel around the world and find a job. The other option is joining the navy ( freight navy I Hope, not the military one ) or a plane pilot/steward career. Always gone to statal schools ( university as well) always coming back home at the end of the lessons . Never felt abandoned. Looking forward to hearing from you sono , maybe back to your podcastle Take care and have a nice stay in England

Greetings from Poland
