It hurts my heart that you have to explain why you are doing what you're doing for you and your family! I can only speak for myself but I'm thankful that you are sharing your changes, it made me look at what I'm doing and the food I'm buying for my family. I have Lupus and the food I eat should be way better right but it's sometimes easier to just get what's convenient, information is gold! Please keep sharing your journey!
I’ve recently found your channel am so glad I did. I’m also a working mom so I love seeing how other working moms keep it together. I’m definitely interested in your “healthy” content because my family eats too much junk.
I love Atomic Habits. I'm reading it right now and love that it applies not just to daily habit building, but also running a small business and working through relationships better.
Hi Jen! I'm so glad I found your videos, they help me relax and I always learn something new from you! Thank you for giving us your time and awesome content!!
Yes! They help me relax as well. Jen has a way of speaking that soothes. She also helps get me motivated to get stuff done & stop putting off dishes, laundry, etc.
I'm a newbie to your channel and I've been doing some binge watching of all ypur wonderful videos!! I just absolutely love everything about you. You are real, down to earth, relatable, kind, informative and definitely have a passion for life and all yhe content that you share. Thanks for everything that you do. I'm so happy that I found your channel 💞💞 You have a beautiful wonderful family 💞💞 Take care and wish you and your family a wonderful week!💞💞
I’m usually not the type to buy from advertised videos, but these built bars are sooo good!!! They taste like a chocolate bar. No weird protein taste, no weird cardboard taste either!
I love your videos! And I’m really loving your new take on food and how you are approaching. I’ve struggled with weight and food addiction my whole life. 🖤
I'm in Santa Clarita and we have snow on the mountains. I'm happy to see it and thankful I don't have to live in it. It was 34F this morning, very freaking COLD.
I love your channel! I just got done organizing my fridge with containers you recommended. Now I just need to get the rest of my house looking as nice..
Hey Jen! If you want to use reusable water bottles in their lunches look up 4 oz plastic juice bottles with lids on Amazon! I put Gatorade or water in my kids lunch everyday and got to stop buying water bottles! 🙂
I'm loving all your healthy meals you've had on lately. I've learned a lot from Bobby Parrish from flavacity...they have great keto grocery hauls and tips 🙂
We live in Iowa city. I’m 62 and my husband is 68 and we were so sick of shoveling snow. I do believe we will be returning to Alabama in the spring or summer. Been here for four years and we’re just really tired of the winters
Idea for the water bottles! Write their initials on the top and reuse them until you just need to replace it. You could probably put in a little MIO to make it flavored if that’s something they miss with their lunch.
I just started trying to make a few changes in my diet. Not t to the extent that you are but more like baby steps. Just trying to figure out what I like in the healthier options. Hang in there Jen, do YOUR thing
This video is why I love your channel. It’s not about preaching how to live life like you, it is you being you with no apologies. Truly authentic. I can’t tell you how much I respect you for putting yourself out there. Everyone has different challenges when it comes to defining healthy eating because people’s bodies react differently to different foods. There is no “one size fits all” when it come to healthy eating. For me, I noticed the biggest health benefits when I gave up the three white powders; sugar, salt and flour. By limiting these three refined products I was able to reverse a number of health issues including obesity, diabetes, depression, arthritis and high blood pressure. I’m down from 15 medications to 1 (my thyroid medication). This is what worked for me but that doesn’t mean it will work for everyone. I say listen to your body as it will tell you when you are eating right for you. You will feel more energetic, happy and well when you find the right diet for you. You do you! 💕
I definitely think biographies, self help and non fiction books in general are always better in audiobook version. There's something about the authors reading it themselves that add something for me and help me really take it all in. I've never bought anything from parterships but omg those bars! I'm always on the hunt for new bars so after some researching (Canadian here so I always have to make sure there are no extra/hidden shipping & duty costs if I'm buying from US) I decided to use your code to buy the mixed box. Literally only took 6 days to get them! Even with conversions each bar was less than $2.50 too which was a pleasant surprise.
I've been making the adjustments to our eating habits for my family as well thanks to you! Your videos have given me lots of helpful ideas and motivation. Also, we are expecting 12 inches of snow over night!😳 So I will be shoveling the walk in the morning! Hubby will plow the rest!
I am just gonna say this: if buying and cooking the way you do is gonna make me look as healthy as you do, count me in! Your skin looks fresh and your hair is shiny! I can say more but i don't want to scare you🤭🤣. I realy enjoy every vid you put out. And looking forward to the next one. Keep safe!
I’m a fellow nurse as well and i have always felt that i fed my family healthy but i watched the videos you linked on the prior video and omg 🤯 now i feel like the added sugar police. Like I’m SHOOK about how much added sugar was in things that I’ve always felt like was healthy. 😳 definitely going to be much more conscious of the labels on food!!!
Jen, love your channel. I spent the day watching your recent videos and re-organizing my kitchen. And I got a new cookbook. Great day! Cooked a yummy lunch and about to start on some piccata for my teenagers (2 boys). I am so looking forward to getting your cookbook.
I really love your channel. I love that you are open and honest you are about yourself. Take care of your self and your family. Love from me here in NC. Oh I just looked outside and it is pouring the snow.
I just purchased the Instant Loss cookbook on your recommendation. It came yesterday so I am very excited to try some things. At our house we definitely need help eating more healthy so, I am really enjoying watching what you buy and what advice you have to offer! Thanks for sharing and have a great rest of the weekend!
I applaud you! Sugar is addictive! I am trying to do the same it's hard! I got an exercise bike for my 60th birthday this month it's hard but I am trying. Keep doing what your doing Jen keep it up! I enjoy it!
Thank you for sharing this journey with us. I would greatly appreciate if you would consider doing a video on reading nutrition labels. I find it difficult at times.
I love watching your videos as it let’s me escape my life for a few minutes also it gives me ideas for things to do in my life that I might not have done if I didn’t see it on one of your videos so I don’t think it’s fair for people to judge you on what you put on your videos as it’s your life that you’re sharing with us if they don’t like it they should watch someone else. So thank you so much for sharing your family with us even if it’s just a few minute videos.
Jen, I’ve watched you make your coleslaw a couple times. It is similar to my recipe, however, my husband really likes it when I add a little pineapple to it. My Aunt Betty made it that way, for our wedding reception, almost 50 years ago, and I’ve made it that way ever since. I ordered the Built Bars, can’t wait for them to get here😀
That salad looks really good. I am so proud of you for deciding to change your foods. I am also trying to do that. It is a slow hard road but I am going to follow through with it.
Great video love the healthier recipes. I’ve been doing paleo and the Defined Dish cookbook has been great. I’m trying to make sure the meals I make at home are healthy but we still get 1-2 meals out every week.
I think most people are looking for a cleaner way to eat without changing too much and certainly not depriving oneself. I like all the things you talk about...people are so crazed by isolation that I think they are extra cranky...just keep being you (ugly cellar curtains and all! Lol) because we love you just the way you are!
I'm a believer on eating "my way". Knowledge is power, yes let people decide what works best for them! Thank you for your vlog! My son bought me Atomic habits, because he didn't want to leave his for even a week, must be great, I'm excited 😆
I think balance is key to eating. When we changed to clean eating I chose the non-negotiable ingredients I wasn't going to buy anymore. Found better items, substitutes, or made my own taking budget and my time into consideration. Do we fall off the wagon...yes. We also have convenience foods for my sanity. 90/10 is a good rule to go by.
I cut out most white sugar a few years ago . My husband had to go paleo and I have arthritis from years of undiagnosed Celiac and vitamin deficiencies. White sugar is definitely a inflammatory. I use coconut sugar my coffee . Baking I use a natural flavor like honey or pure maple syrup which is still sugar but better than processed . When I had to go gf and started researching food it was amazing how much junk is in food. We try to eat “clean” for the most part.I’ve been wanting to try red lentil pasta myself . Enjoyed the video as always
Im from Vermont and we are supposed to get a big snow storm next week! Love the snow but so done with the -20 degree weather ! Btw love, love your day in the life's. Miss vlogmas ❤
I feel like the sugar is a U.S. cultural thing. We lived in Nicaragua for 6 months and everything was salt, salt, salt!! When you go to a place like Nicaragua even for a week or two, it is common to get sick when you get home because you ate so clean for the time you were gone. When you get back your stomach has to get used to how modified our food is and all the crap in it! It is stunning!!
Thank you so much for sharing this information as far as sugar!👍I ALWAYS enjoy your content and appreciate you taking the time to make us Informative info!💞💞 The pasta 🍝 and chicken recipe looked Soo Yummy!😋😋
My middle school daughter schools likes to bring a reusable bottle to class. She likes to take water in a hydroflask so it stays cold. Pre-COVID she could refill at school. Maybe your kids might like the same.
I am really enjoying listening to your talks about healthy eating, you have definitely inspired me so thank you. I would love to hear about some of your 1% improvements after listening to atomic habits. 💙
Great video! The applesauce thing surprised me too. Bottle sauces/dressings was another one for me. It was a pain at first but now I make most of them myself. I have greatly reduced the amount of processed "food" we eat. Still eat it from time to time but not like we used to. You're right, you have to read all the labels! Thanks for the positive vibes in this video. And I know you are sharing 'you" not telling me what to do!:)
I love seeing the snow. We rarely get snow here in my area of Southwest Tennessee when we do people like myself act like they have never seen it before. Lol.
We are in Illinois and are going to get hit tonight with a lot of snow, according to weather reports. I hate winter because I am originally from California. I have been here since I was 13 and I am now 68. Thank you for the information you give.
Yes! You just don't know until you start reading the labels. My son has multiple food allergies and diet restrictions so I have to read every label. It has been very eye opening to all of the added crap in our food! It's insane!
If I'm not mistaken and i very well could be because I'm still learning but I read that you subtract the total fiber and the added sugars from the total carbohydrates if that's the case those built bars only have seven carbs. That's good for a low carb snack or breakfast.
I had gestational diabetes with my munchkin, and found no sugar added applesauce actually tastes better than the regular. Add some cinnamon and you're golden. I buy only that applesauce now. ETA - I love your videos, whether you're doing diet stuff or not. When you did some keto recipes, I loved it even before the GD diagnosis. I'd make those things and add carbs (and did with the GD, as per my nutritionist). Your stuff is very flexible. Regardless of what you're doing (diet or not, lifestyle change or not, whatever you call it), I find it highly adaptable. And I feel like I have a buddy in my journey. I'm also trying to eat better. I'm not dieting. I'll still eat candy. But I felt good on my GD diet, so I'm going for a less strict version of that (I really, really had to watch my food). Anyway. I'm glad you and your channel exist. You taught me how to meal plan and prep. You inspire me, motivate me, and you never make me feel like a failure. Your realness is exactly what I want and need. And yes, I get all that just from the videos. Lol
Hi Jen, I fully agree with the amount of sugar in food we buy, it's bad. Have you watched 'That Sugar Movie'? Its really worth watching. I'm Kiwi, and one thing I find is that in all of the American cooking vlog channels I watch which are over a dozen I find that generally people over there also put sugar into all.manner of things we wouldn't dream of putting them in here, like anything tomato based, and also dressings, or mayonnaise based sauces....so much sugar.Anyway I'm loving your channel especially at present. Take care, stay warm and stay safe. Xx
I like the intuitive eating style. Not overly restricting your diet to where you eventually break down.and binge on food. I just try to pay attention to hunger and fullness cues. Maybe use helthful rather than healthy because whole fresh food is more healthful than processed food 🤔 😋 still love your stuff
It is crazy how much sugar is out there. I read a lot of labels because I watch my sodium and there’s so much crap in so many foods. I wish they would work on ingredients and eliminate some of the additives and such, but I think in many ways they are just trying to keep us addicted to those things, so that we keep buying them. Not to mention that access to healthy foods can be very limited for some.
Don’t change who you are...the world needs more Jen Chapins! 😁
It hurts my heart that you have to explain why you are doing what you're doing for you and your family! I can only speak for myself but I'm thankful that you are sharing your changes, it made me look at what I'm doing and the food I'm buying for my family. I know it's kinda randomly asking but do anybody know of a good website to stream newly released series online ?
@Vincent Miller Lately I have been using flixportal. You can find it on google =)
@Alex Ernest definitely, have been watching on flixportal for since april myself :D
@Alex Ernest thanks, I went there and it seems like a nice service =) I really appreciate it!!
@Vincent Miller Happy to help :D

Would love to see you do a “dairy free” meal and or kids lunch preps 😃😃 this girl needs some inspo!!!!
Great idea!!
Hey Jen. Thanks a lot for helping opening our eyes too. 👀🙏🙏🙏😊
I’m now much more conscious about what I get in my hauls.
I love seeing the snow! Here in California, we don’t see it in person so it’s nice to see it in your videos 🌨
We have to drive to it 😝 Good ol Cali
I'm in Santa Clarita and we have snow on the mountains. I'm happy to see it and thankful I don't have to live in it. It was 34F this morning, very freaking COLD.

Yah !! A jen video to watch while I drink my ☕ coffee!
Ohhhhhhh put a few of the Built bars in the freezer!!!!! They are FANTASTIC!
Yes or the fridge. Mmm, so good!

Idea for the water bottles! Write their initials on the top and reuse them until you just need to replace it. You could probably put in a little MIO to make it flavored if that’s something they miss with their lunch.
That’s a great idea thank you!
I use that applesauce in all my baking and for pancakes in place of oil. Also black bean brownies are delicious. I am going to try that Keto Trail mix
Your eyes are so beautiful, Jen! 🤩🥰💙
Love your content! Could you possibly do a week of vintage 50s recipes?!?!?
I always look forward to watching your videos and I always end up loving each one of them. I hope you’re having a great 2021 so far, Jen 😁
Thank you! You too!

It'll be in my area by tomorrow (Sunday) sometime after 11 a.m. We're ready. Best of luck with the shoveling. Stay safe.
@@stacyrussell460 same to you! God bless!
I always appreciate your insight and honesty....and of course your meal plans. Thanks Jen!!!!!!!

I enjoy it!
I love the new content. Got me watching my sugar now, which I need to. Right now eating cauliflower rice with Korean beef and it is so good.
Korean beef is the best.
The sugar...yes! Look at the sugar in ketchup it's astounding. OMG you can't win.....YOU DO YOU Jen! You are awesome!
Thank you for inspiring me! You are the best!
I ordered the Built Bars, can’t wait for them to get here😀
Sing it sister (speaking to your definition of health)!!!
Hey Jen you have embraced me and my family so thank you sweety your amazing thank you for all you do
That salad looks really good. I am so proud of you for deciding to change your foods. I am also trying to do that. It is a slow hard road but I am going to follow through with it.
Were about to get a mini blizzard here on the east coast this weekend into tues. I'm ready for it.
My Instant Loss cookbook came in the other day. I can’t wait to read through it and meal plan for next week. Great video!! 🥰
Hope you enjoy it!
looks like I opened the app at the right time! Love frequent videos!! 😍
Great video love the healthier recipes. I’ve been doing paleo and the Defined Dish cookbook has been great. I’m trying to make sure the meals I make at home are healthy but we still get 1-2 meals out every week.
Hint water is another good alternative to juice boxes. My daughter & I love them!
I think most people are looking for a cleaner way to eat without changing too much and certainly not depriving oneself. I like all the things you talk about...people are so crazed by isolation that I think they are extra cranky...just keep being you (ugly cellar curtains and all! My son bought me Atomic habits, because he didn't want to leave his for even a week, must be great, I'm excited 😆
Atomic Habits is amazing. I need to read it again.
I get the unsweetened apple sauce and sprinkle some monk fruit sweetener and cinnamon in it and it’s so good!
I love Built Bars!
Hi Jen. I am excited you are sharing a low sugar journey. I just got vsg 6 days ago so I will be doing the same.

I'd highly recommend Tiny Habits too (it's on Audible)! It's a fantastic read that dives into the science on little changes with big outcomes.
Im from Vermont and we are supposed to get a big snow storm next week! Love the snow but so done with the -20 degree weather ! Btw love, love your day in the life's. Miss vlogmas ❤
I tried those Built Bars - they are so good! Thanks for the recommendation! And... pink looks good on you!
I love hearing Murphy clip clopping around. Just bought the instant loss book. Love your snow we never get any.
I love hearing Murphy too. 🙂
I feel like the sugar is a U.S. cultural thing. We lived in Nicaragua for 6 months and everything was salt, salt, salt!! I am really enjoying listening to your talks about healthy eating, you have definitely inspired me so thank you. I would love to hear about some of your 1% improvements after listening to atomic habits. 💙
I’m hoping we finally get snow tomorrow night! (SE New Jersey) 🙌🏼
Jen its really easy to make your own applesauce and so much better.
Great video! The applesauce thing surprised me too. Bottle sauces/dressings was another one for me. It was a pain at first but now I make most of them myself. Thanks for sharing the snow and your day!
Love you Jen for always keeping it 💯. It’s so easy just to keep buying the familiar items, but I need to take more time to read labels.
I love seeing the snow. We rarely get snow here in my area of Southwest Tennessee when we do people like myself act like they have never seen it before. Lol.
If you microwave the chocolate built bar for about 20-30 seconds, it turns into warm cake. 😉
We are in Illinois and are going to get hit tonight with a lot of snow, according to weather reports. I hate winter because I am originally from California. I have been here since I was 13 and I am now 68.
Thank you for the information you give.
Chicken and pasta looked awesome
just ordered a sample box, thank you for the courtesy code!!
Hope you like it!

Xx
Thank you!
