It depends on how many people you're taking with you in the car,how many liters of diesel you have left in the tank and so on,the comparisons shall be done putting the cars in equal conditions 👍@@JC-zg4xe

My gt has the same engine 150hp and 350nm, but my Guilia 2.2 Speciale is where its at

Diesel engine sound's awesome. I do hope Alfa Romeo considering E-Segment liftback to fight against A7, 6 Series and CLS. Let Maserati Ghibli compete with E AMG, M5, Panamera and RS6.

Nice car, relatively good equipped inside. This engine is I would say minimum for decent drive in Alpha Rome limousine. Good acceleration and nice sound for one diesel. Good steering, very good and precise shifter as well.
On the other hand, huge downside is computer for dashboard panel. Very slow and lagging. Although having nothing to do with the drive itself, just common use is very annoying.
Pity they tried to spare money in such stupid and irritant way.
It's not a limousine. It's actually pretty short.
@@marcl.1346 As "compact executive car" it is part of D-segment, which is by European criteria considered as "large cars".
Anyway, for Alfa standards not short at all.

Looks good goes great but the sound of diesel is just so harsh. How did they manage to do it. Even old 159 did sound alot better than this.

the best engine for giulia is the 2.0 280hp and the 2.9 510hp...i dont like the diesel engine but the italian diesel engine is the best!!
Nah! It's as rattly as anything that for a modern diesel. Noise would drive me mad. My 2006 C Class diesel is quieter once you get going. VAG do it so much better and quieter or Peugeot.
Well what should i say... it is just a diesel, but man this one sounds bad! I would like to see the 2.0 TBi.
It would have been better with the automatic gearbox; it has 450nm instead of 380nm of the manual gearbox! Nonetheless, i can't wait to see your review!
Too bad it's one of the worst sounding diesel engines out there.
I just see it as a given fact that Diesels don't sound great. So I don't give a fuck.
It doesn't have to sound great, but this one sounds very unrefined, rough and almost like it's broken. A4 2.0 TDI's are super smooth and quiet, in fact you can't even hear it on partial throttle, it just revs to redline in a sliky smooth way, this sounds like it has rocks instead of oil in it.
@@derbigpr500 And that is exactly why people prefer premium italian cars over german, there's something oddly satisfying about unrefinement and higher rev roar. Love it

@@derbigpr500 a4 2.0 TDI is years late. The 2.0 was first CR vag engine.
It had the same amount of power as an Alfa JTD 156 in 2003.

Well, Im getting this one(or the 200hp gas one next year) because I cant afford the QV and you probably cant as well...
LazyRock for this price tag I'd get C-class ,3-series,A4 or VW Passat!
None of them are as pretty or as well equiped as this is even standard. Mercedes you have to pay to get seats and wheels with the car, A4 is a meh car and VW not the best quality. This dash is glorious unlike that mercedes where they stabbed a LCD to the dashboard and called the day...
LazyRock It's what you like more, for me you can't compare base German models with Italians because Germans are far ahead with tecnology and design.
