    super inspiring :-) im starting to do the kroat "Black 4" now,
    maybe i missed it but how come you sprayed the markings on and then painted them over again? and then painted them again..

    • @thescalemodellingcafe
      @thescalemodellingcafe  24 дня назад

      I didn't repaint them, it's a layered approach. Light colours first then the dark bits after the camouflage. The fuselage cross colour IS the camouflage colour.

    Fantastic Jamie as always she certainly is a superb looking 109.
    Thank you for sharing the whole process , I've just bought some Abteilung oils to have a go at some oil weathering and your videos are such a help . I really like the idea of your oil sludge , How do you make it ? do you just simply thin the oil paint down to the right constituency or is it something else ?
    Thanks again Jamie see you on Flory soon .
    Many thanks
    Greg .

    • @thescalemodellingcafe
      @thescalemodellingcafe  Год назад +1

      Thanks mate. The sludge is very straight forward, I mix the tone I want and then add thinner drop by drop until it's about the consistency of overly warm margarine!

    Hey Jamie - brilliant I’m hoping to try the mottling on a 1/72 ME 262, although the air is very dry here in Riyadh causing a lot of blockage , cheers Liam

    • @thescalemodellingcafe
      @thescalemodellingcafe  Год назад +1

      That's why I use lacquer paints, it's not a problem here. The alternative is to run the shower on hot to increase the humidity!

    Excellent video and excellent model as well! May I ask you two questions?

    • @warbirds-blog
      @warbirds-blog Год назад +1

      1. Do you use final coat of varnish after the all oil weathering process is complete?
      2. What brand of colour do you use for the sponge chipping? (especially on the spinner the chipping looks fantastic)
      THX
