Truck GEAR - the everyday stuff that I keep in my truck to be prepared for everything, or at least a lot of things. This is my daily driver - a 2022 Toyota Tundra, which has been kitted out and filled with preparedness gear, and practical gear that could come in handy. Since this 2022 Tundra is my daily driver, it's outfitted with a variety of gear that I either use regularly, or will be glad to have on hand if I need it. This truck is equipped to be a good bug out rig.

The way you breezed over “..and a couple Landcruisers” like they aren’t the gems of the fleet son!!!
Just caught Mike starring in an actual commercial ad for KC Lights. You go brother! I’ve been watching you for years and it’s nice to see you making these strides.
"This will only serve as my work truck"
*daily driver
Lol
Love the videos. I just got a 2022 tundra a few weeks ago and I'm loving it. I stumbled across your first tundra video when I was waiting for mine to come in and loved your ideas. I have always been big on keeping gear in my truck and you have given me some great ideas. The information and details you give are great. Your reviews feel like they are catered to me. I like to keep a tire plug kit in my truck, and I didn't see one in your video. Just a suggestion. Can't wait to see your next video. Thank you.
Long time viewer, first time commenter.
Keep up the good work Mike! The tundra daily driver / bug out vehicle is exactly what i’m doing with my tacoma, so this video was spot on for me! Love it! Cant wait to get my holster!!!
Ross
Appreciate it, and thanks for the support!
Been following you for a long time. Love the videos. Just picked up a 2020 Tundra a few weeks ago and love seeing the Tundra content. Thanks for the great info and ideas!
THE KING OF PREPAREDNESS ! thanks for the tips mike great stuff ! ❤️🔥
Your videos are awesome been watching for years ever since reviews on pants and edc, keep up the great work!
As a guy with 1 vehicle. Toyota Tacoma TRD OR 2020. I am really looking forward to the video about balancing a daily driver with a bugout rig. Love the channel.
Appreciate it!
These are the best videos! I think it would be interesting if you made a video about car edc for someone who does only city driving, such as Ashley’s car. Great content mike, tundra is looking awesome!
keep up the great work. your videos are always awesome !
Appreciate it!
Love the set up you have. I want a tundra too they’re nice. I just love Toyota, stay safe out there.
Love these kind of notifications Mike
You are the most prepared person I have ever seen....I wish I could be like you!
Love the video Mike! Thanks
I always keep a set of ratchet straps to tie stuff down. Always handy
I use the VISR kit from Dark Angel on the passenger side for my vehicle. I like the rip away feature so I can grab the kit and go. On my drivers side I use a mil spec monkey visor panel. I like the elastic molle on it. I put a CAT tourniquet on it and a gerber military surplus seat belt cutter/ window punch. Just some options I use for the visors.
As always another great and informative video Mike.
Responding to the question of 19:30 ; if you can make a video about the Tundra small GHB and the new Tacoma Bin, that wuold be really appriciated.
Thanks as always for the awsome content that you give us...Keep the good work up.
yessss i was waiting for this vid to come
Tundra is looking so good!
Hey! Two things: first, Mike Glover talked about a tactical tinder thing for couples, would love to see how you share things with your wife, and maybe have a video on how you guys see preparedness as a couple. Comms between your vehicles in case of a situation, how to make a plan for your family, etc.
Secondly, if you put a GoPro on a hat, could you have both hands free for the video? Just a thought. Love the new Tundra!
Mike won't be posting anything anytime soon.
That's actually a great idea for the vertx mag pouch. I have two and never use them.
I just picked up the Vertex pistol pouch for my Tundra today and filled it with fun things! thanks for the idea!!
Nice!
love the ocd packaging haha i do the same for everything!
I have a new olight obulb that i added to my emergency kit as it has a red flash setting. Figured it would be useful for a breakdown situation, or side of the road tire change situation.
Good stuff
I’m looking forward to getting my holster! 🇺🇸
dude what do u do for a living, holy crap. Truck looks fantastic as well, really dig this tundra build.
An LLOD video ! Yes
🍻🍻
Looks awesome mean greenmitch christmas machine!
Every time you’ve uploaded lately I’ve had my fingers crossed for a sequoia update hahah
Haha soon - I just need to find some time to knock out the rear lift, and then I'll do an update there.
Have you considered making a video on the gear that’s kept in the Rav?
Lol, kinda surprised that big chrome logo in the steering wheel has lasted as long as it has. My glove box looks similar. I can't tell you how many times those packets of plastic ware has come in handy. Condiments too. Gotta keep those cycled up tho. Good stuff man. Two is one, and one is none. 😁
BTW, you heard of SeatJackers? Game chanemger, dude. Fr...
Mike absolutely love the interior videos on all vehicles half of my 04’ 4Runner a few items from your videos and Amazon link! We all been asking though where is that multi-cam black wrap from can you link that as well?!
felicitaciones muy buena camioneta Tundra
Been waiting for this.
Hope it was worth the wait!
@@LastLineOfDefense It was! Thanks for sharing!
Zip tie the rescue me tool behind your rear view mirror. In the event something happens it’s where you or a passenger could easily access it. Plus in a roll over it won’t be tossed around the cabin when you need it.
i zip tied my resqme glass breaker to the bar on the visor closest to the A piller so it is within hands reach and will be there at all times and i also put on on the passenger side visor as well
Cool video 😎
Can’t beat the O-light Freyr for a vehicle light. I keep one in the door of my 4Runner also.
Dude, I use a zip tie for my rescue me tool and fasten on the visor arm at the curve where it goes into the roof. Pull zip tie just tight enough and the tool will stay up in place but easy enough to pull down to deploy.
Got my Freedom hat today :)
Mike, any chance you could get a video made on your winch set up for your tents in the garage? Been in the process of putting one together. Seems like you have the layout dialed in.
Got my Freedom Tremor hat today 🙌🏼
This is so like my truck, which has acquired the name " The Manly Poppins Truck". I have a contractor top and ladder rack on mine though with a bed slide. I pretty much have whatever I or someone else might need
Does Dometic make a center console fridge? That's what you need there for cold drinks at the end of the day working on the new house.
Definitely need to get myself one of those battery jump starters, and looking at them they're reasonably priced too (currently on sale which is cool too). Good to know we both have some similar school of thought for Gear and purpose! I just don't have a lot of included storage in my SUV, something I gotta figure out 🤔
I've had one for a couple years now and they're absolutely worth it.
A how to on making a plan for bugging out with the family would be very helpful
Please more gun content!
Those led flares also work great to simulate camp fires during fire bans lol
I keep a pair of fencing pliers in my tool roll!
Thanks Mike! How’s the ride quality on the Sequoia with the 5100’s? And how long before you release the updated Sequoia video??
Myself, I would do the whole bed differently. I would add DECKED drawers with a bedslide on top and put a camper shell so I get 2 levels of gear placement.
WHAT UP BROSKI!!🤙🏻🇺🇸
Oh hello
Inspector Gadget Man Daaaang!
Yeet!!
I like that "Not everyone needs a bullet." lol
I really like that cross bin. Do they make it for 3rd Tacoma?
Daily driver with 35” tires? Lol I love LLOD
For your cross bin try cutting a spare section of carpet for the bottom.
I would love to see what's in the small get home bag
Last Line Of Defense how did the front end with the Westcott kit handle the weight of the bumper?
When you added the Wescott lift and the bumper, did you have any front end sag?
Wow how many trucks do u have now? It seems like everytime I watch your channel...u have a new vehicle!! Must be nice!
Goals bro. Can't be mad at the man.
Trucks trucks just the taco and tundra, but quite a few vehicles total
I likey Mikey’s trucks and SUV’s
you wouldn't by chance have plans on makin a holster for the sig p320 m18 with a olight baldr mini 🙏🏼
do you have a link to the camo wrap that you used on the interior bits?
I would Move your safety vest to the passenger side because if you gotta change a tire on a busy road your only on the drive side temporarily to get to the passenger side and able to suit up
How does the lift in the front handle the bumper and winch set up? Do you think it would be better with a complete coil over or no?
It’s NOT overkill the day you get stranded in a snow storm wishing you had it and don’t. Remember that freak snow storm that blew through the NE this past winter that stranded ppl in their vehicles during their everyday commute home.
Have you spoke on the V6 engines in the 2022 Tundras?
Does your model have the battery inverter with the 120v in the bed or back seat? If so can you show us where the inverter is located in the truck??
Love these videos.
Are the Yakima and Front runner racks interchangeable on the same rail system ?
I have the DiamondBack with the Front runner but seriously thinking about switching .
Hey Mike did you sell the 200 series?? Did I miss that?
How many mpg do you get on the 2022
Go Go Gadget
Hey Mike what happened to you getting a Ford Bronco?
I use my drill batteries if I need a emergency jump
Tire puncture repair kit is missing i dont think i seen one
Did i miss the kind of snow pants those were?
Mike not sure if you still have them but do you have the Yakima Overhaul HD system laying around?? I know you prefer the outpost hd’s but I’m not trying to have my Tremor look like Zach’s Freedom Tremor (who’s lives around the block/I get to see it on base 🤩) Anyways if you do would you be willing to sell it? I don’t have a problem buying new but if I bought used rather put that money towards a content creator I support & appreciate.
Really excited to see you started to get more into the homestead property & future builds.
Cheers brother. 🤙🏽
Still on factory suspension with that bumper and winch? Wondering what it weighs I am already scared of the low payload
Show us the bag!
Honestly I hated the look of the tundra but the bumper and the small back door really changed my mind
Are you going to hit up Glover? Love when you guys get together
Tacoma or Tundra which do you prefer is the better truck.
Where ya get your truck patches
I just picked up a 2019 Tundra and am trying to figure out how to store stuff in the bed. It has the OEM tri fold tonneau cover but coming from only having 4Runners in the past not having the back of an SUV to store stuff in has been an adjustment.
I use large heavy duty containers from Home Depot. They cost $30-40. One for shelter (tent+sleeping bags+pillows+lights, etc). One for dogs. One for me and the wife’s bags and other personal items. One for tools and dry goods. Add a cooler or fridge and good to go. Works for me and most of them can be kept loaded and ready to go at any time.
Big fan of bins ready to go for various purposes
Unfortunately the jump starter isn’t meant for a motor as big as what’s in my truck. Only options I’ve found for something that large are outrageously expensive
Mike will that compressor work for filling a waterport to pressurize it. I am looking for a small compressor for it.
Yeah I'm sure it'd do great for that.
@@LastLineOfDefense thanks. Also nice podcast with clay at expo west. It was interesting to here your up bringing.
Long time viewer, first comment. I'm curious, why a diamondback on a daily/work truck? Can't fit taller things needed for construction/other large items? I get it for the Tacoma being purely for camping, but on here I do not see the function?
Toys, my gawd the toys
Wish I could cover my bed like that but for big objects and dogs that just don't work.
Hey been a longtime viewer. Truck is looking clean! Getting close to the same setup as you for my personal daily driver. Really enjoying the tundra but I'm unfortunately bounded by my apartments garage height requirements. What's the total height when you have your RTT on? I'm assuming that is your highest point and it would be very helpful to find out! 35's seem to both look nice and have a more comfortable load rating of D sometimes? Heavily considering instead of 33-34" E ratings. In your opinion is it worth sizing up?
It isn't on right now for me to take a measurement, but I'd guess it'd be a little under 7.5' to the top of the tent (the highest point). You could get a lower rack system, and with no roof rack, you'd be under 7'
@@LastLineOfDefense Thanks a lot for the reply! Pretty sure I'm at 8" clearance so fingers crossed sitting around where you're at. Going with a Bush Co tent which I believe is a tad thicker than IKamp. Hope you had a good time at expo. Cheers!
Toyota flex 😎
Which oligth is that i cant find it
Where to buy that cross bin bed storage organizer?
Diamondbackcovers.com
Mike- Hope all is well. Curious as to what you and the overland community have been saying about EV trucks? Thoughts on usage as daily driver and thoughts for overland type vehicle. Rivian is one that comes to mind.
I'm a big fan of them - don't have one yet, but plan to pick one up at some point in the future. It's new to the space, so it's a bunch of early adopters right now - most of whom are wealthy, and many of whom won't really use them outside of a smooth dirt road. So I'll wait a bit to let a few others be Guinea pigs on those, since it's such a big investment.
I admit, I'm very unhappy with the look of the newer Tundra, but you have this looking really good!... I'm on the market for my first off road pickup truck (full size), and was nitpicking between the Silverado ZR2 or a Ram Rebel, but seeing the Tundra built up like this, definitely has my attention back on Toyota Tundra.. This is impressive!.. I think seeing it without that terrible looking stock front bumper makes 110% better looking vehicle!..
I currently own 2 Toyotas, so maybe just want to try something new
