The business on Cato Neimodia was explored twice. The first time was in the 2005 book Labyrinth of Evil which was direct tie-in prequel book to Episode 3 but became Legends. The canon version came out this year in a book called Brotherhood which moves the event closer to Episode 2.
i like how in dave's clone wars does make a reference to this version of the battle of corusatnt because they mention that windu lost contact with shakti while trying to protect palpatine from grevous at least making at least their fight and running canon

This show is great, but it doesn't fill in everything during the Clone Wars. One thing that had to be remembered though is that during 2003 and 2004, we had the Clone Wars Multi-media Project. As well as this show, we also got 12 chapter books, Dark Horse comics (which are AWESOME!!), web comics, shorts, and several video games, which Lucas used to fill in the gaps and flesh out the lore. TCW didn't get released until 2008, and actually contradicts quite a bit of the original Canon.
In one of the dark horse comics or graphic novels I think or maybe a book it explains how Greivous through a combination of his warrior skill, he was worshipped as a war god on his planet, and the robotic implants in his brain and body can actually guess and anticipate a force push or pull and thus dodge or angle himself to counter the blow

Captain Fordo would be the name of that clone that took on those droids. The OG Rex before Rex was ever a thing, and it’s disappointing he’s not really canon anymore.
In my mind the thing that makes this series so awesome. Is that the ridiculous power levels of the jedi. Moving at super speed and throwing massive groups, is canon to what the legends novels were like.
I like this series' Vader foreshadowing more than in the 3D Clone Wars. In the Mortis arc, the Son just straight-up _shows_ Anakin the future, no vagueness or anything. The Nelvaanian wall painting is more cryptic, less in-your-face. It's the Force itself warning Anakin of his future, but through the means of a legend and visions. Also, unfortunately, these mutations of the Nelvaanian men were genetic. All males born from then on would share those same mutations, sadly. The women are unaffected, though. So that's a plus.
Vol 1 was filled with 5 minute shorts. Vol 2 was filled with 15 minute cartoons. These were canon when aired and they are canon to me now. When Dave Filoni's 3D Clone Wars began, George Lukas declared that as the official continuation of the Tartakovsky 2D series. Things change over time and so do the retcons. Not all retcons are good. Some can be quite damaging to the story. I wish George Lukas understood this when he retconned the original trilogy and buried the originals.
I consider this official in my mind because I just don't agree with most of what TCW did to the lore. I think I just am not allowed to be a Disney SW fan, unfortunately.

Rex was based on Captain Fordo, so in a way he lives on as Rex
