Seeing new videos about this game warms my heart. It’s really helpful since I’ve only found a handful of text guides out there, and while they helped me a lot with tuning my cars I hit a wall fast, no pun intended lol
For some reason I only got around to play this game now, so I absolutely appreciate the guide for this 18.. jesus christ I want to go back, 18 years old game!
Thank you so much I just got this game a few days ago and this is very helpful. Even just the engine parts critical config is impossible to find info on
Now that I got my new net was planning on something similar but may do a general driving guide to it, but dunno how effective I can get to explaining it.
word on the streets is, Genki just apparently releases some platformer game on their Steam page, and promoted it on their official YT channel, likely as some kind of fundraising project to made this new TXR/SB games they're working on
If i'm correct it might just be the best realistic drifting game (not counting modded assetto corsa) to this day. And certainly the atmosphere Genki is able to pull of is unmatched.
realistic? absolutely not lmao the weight transfer in this game is so silly, half the time the issue you get is that you have too much grip and the car just goes straight forwards into the inside wall it's a lot of fun though
@@CaroFDoom haha maybe, i'm a big fan of Tokyo Xtreme Racer Zero and 3, both very arcadey, but i've always read that Kaido Battle 2 is the most realistic driving game on ps2, even surpassing Enthusia Professional Racing (which is awesome). But i'm still hunting for my copy of the game, becasue the prices are horrible here in poland, if you can even find a copy :p I guess i have to find "another" way to finally play this game, and see that for myself.
I did many Gymkhanas but am literally unable to finish the first CA event on the first track. I barely am able to finish a single drift with maybe 1k pts without bumping into the wall which nulifies the whole sector, not as easy as NfS:U at all!
what are your keyboard keybinds? I got this for the pcsx2 but don't have a controller, figuring out what buttons should do what is really wracking my brains
i personally use my left hand just for steering on A and D while my right hand is on the numpad with 4 and 7 for accelerate, 8 and 5 for brake, 0 for handbrake, and 9 and 6 for gear up gear down you can also add even more buttons if you want, like a brake/handbrake for your left hand, etc.
i just got the game and my drifting is so bad, i dont really know what to press, can you drift with any car or do you need to always set it up? nvm input delay is so high that it's unplayable
@@samson7338 its about tunning your car properly , u need good parts that u get late game , and tuning suspension tuning gear ratio , and in the end skill for drift . and also u need "FR" car wich means RWD rear wheel drive .
Just one question... Do you play controller? if so I must recommend Kaido's experience behind the wheel! Kaio at the wheel is a challenging simulator even for those who are used to Hardcore simulators, a great FFB and axle rebound controls and feelings better than many simulators... just a recommendation! ;3
The last time I tried TXRD2 with a wheel I wasn't a fan of the ffb, especially with how fast everything is in this game. If I want to use my wheel I'll usually open iRacing or LFS instead.
@@CaroFDoom In fact! I also usually play LFS or AC, but I have a peculiar taste for TXRD2! its inter-axle response is faster and it simulates well the loss of control in a real factory car! which makes Drift and Power slide a more technical and challenging issue, TXRD2 needs a lot of time invested... so sometimes it's good to just do a touge on AC although it's weird because the cars give a lot of angle and never stop skidding out of nowhere, and understeer... - . - But in the end every game has its purpose and neither one excludes the other! ' u '
@@CaroFDoom the thing is one this game was released , there were only couple of wheels on market , wich are gt driving force , and driving force GT, . keep that in mind
u just have skill problems , game is top notch , i can do full touge from top of the mountain to bottom drifting no hit, if u want i can leave u video. this guy in the video is not that good too. if i can post youtube links here , i will show u some true kaido battle drifting to make your jaw drop

Glad to see people are still shredding tires in this game. 🤣🤙 would be crazy if there was a remake or even a new game that had online!
They are releasing a new Tokyo Xtreme Racer, but idk about the txrd series. Be cool to get txrd3.
Finally someone else that knows how to actually drift in this game

Just started playing it after owning it since new. Great game.
It's ~3:30 AM. Just barely waking up. I'm about to try this game for the first time. Wish me luck.
They really need to remake this game
Just finished this game... gonna play it again
Ah thanks, i was acually needed help about drifting down the long side like Yao
Just finished the game last week, great guide.

Fuck bro these games need to come back, at least spiritually

I started playing this game on my jailbroken ps3
Love it so far :)

I used AW11 to drift, i think it was bad desicion because of low Horsepower😢
what version is this?

I've got so much input lag that i can't even drive RWD cars :(
yeah input lag on PCSX2 is insane, disabling V-sync helps a bit but it still sucks
