White Chocolate Mirror Glaze Recipe
What you need....
3 teaspoons gelatin powder, plus ⅔ cups of cold water to bloom
1½ cups corn syrup
1½ cups granulated sugar
¾ cup water
¾ cup condensed milk
1½ cups white chocolate (this should be real white chocolate, not coating chocolate or candy melts)
How to make it.....
1. Sprinkle the gelatin powder into the cold water. Whisk to break up any lumps. Set aside for 3-5 minutes, to allow the gelatin to "bloom."
2. In a small sauce pot, bring the glucose, sugar, condensed milk and ¾ cup water to a boil.
3. Turn the heat off and bloomed gelatin and chocolate.
4. Whisk gently until smooth.

I love the more “human” element that you’ve been desserted has. I love seeing the little things like Brandon trying time get the camera to focus or you and Brandon having conversations. I love that Brandon is just as much of the show as you are, even if you don’t see his face often! Keep it up! Loving what you’re putting out! 💜

Since the cake was like watermelony, I wanted to say something that is related to watermelon, which was fruits. Haha hope you learned something new, and I loved the cake it looked marvellous.
I just have to give you guys a big THANK YOU!!! I used to baked goodies all the time ❤️ baking, decorating was my favorite thing. But, as I grow up and got married and had kids...I had to stop. Hi I am from the Navajo Reservation in Arizona and I was in a car accident 2.5 years ago that left me paralyzed. I was wondering if you ever considered doing a "Spinal Cord Injury" related cake. There are many people who suffer from a spinal cord injury and the month of September is Spinal Cord Injury Awareness Month.
By the way, I love all of your videos. I started watching your videos from the beginning of Man About Cake. You and the guys have always had a great friendship and your conversations on the show are an added bonus to your cake decorating.

Omg, Absolutely, i told my son that. Ok, this is gonna be a long story and i'm sorry--but i can't leave anything out. So i told him if he swallowed a seed then watermelons would start growing in his belly, grow down and out of his bottom while also growing up and out of his ears, eyes, mouth, and nose. His eyes got as big as dinner plates and he just stood there staring at me for the longest time with a questioning look of fear on his 6 or 7 year old little face. He proceeded to drop his head, walk to the livingroom window, put his elbows on the window sill, cross his arms, propped his chin in his hands, and started scanning the front and side yards with the biggest tears in his eyes that i have ever seen (bigger than alligator tears.) He looked for about 15 minutes then came back in the kitchen where i was, tugged on my shirt and asked me if i could follow him outside for a minute...so i dried my hands off and said ok honey, lead the way. He took me to the front corner of our house, let out a long sigh, wiped his face off, looked up at me with such innocence, and said these words that ripped my beating heart from my bad mommy chest. He said I accidently swallowed some seeds at lunchtime so i want you and daddy to bury me right here at the corner where its sunshine all day long and the water hose is close so you guys can give me a drink every day and i will grow watermelons this biggly huge (arms out like a big hug pose) cause i know they're your fravorite melmons mommy...but just one thing tho mommy...when all of the melmons are gone and my leaves are dry and brown don't pull me up and burn me or throw me in the trash, if you leave me here i will grow you and daddy the hugestly big melmons on the block forever i promise. Needless to say my tears were bigger. Thru my sniffles i said--Oh honey i love you so much and i'm so sorry and daddy will talk to you in a minute. Mommy needs to be alone right now so i found my husband and told him about it and then made him go explain things to our son while i laid on my bed and cried. To this day I havent told him anyhing else like that and he turned 26 last month. I'm sorry it's so much. Thank you to anyone who read my little story. LOVE, PRAYERS, AND BEST WISHES TO ALL
Love that story! Amazing how kids think - so innocent in one way and so profound in another. You're lucky to have such an amazing son and he's lucky to have such an amazing Mom who remembered that day.
Oh, this story of your son made me cry. Sounds like he was a very thoughtful child. Can only imagine how excellent parents you and your husband are for a child not to throw temper tantrums or be upset but instead think of the next course of actions and what he could do for his mommy. I am sooo glad I saw that first layer "stick" to your hand. My layers are always like that one the top and edges when I take them out of the fridge/freezer. I always trim all of it off but I just can't stand that part. I honestly thought I was doing something wrong all this time, but after seeing yours like that...maybe I'm not doing anything wrong. The layers are always super moist and really yummy. But I'm still fairly new to decorating and learning so much!!!

This is why fall is my favorite, the weather's still mild! As for the watermelon seeds, I think *because* they're so fibrous is why you shouldn't swallow them, we can process a lot of plant matter, but not all of it. Don't want to get a stomachache!
