I very much appreciate this. I drooled over these in my local bike shop as a young teen. I had a GT Timberline and only ever managed to buy my way into the Pace brand by way of a single 24t chainring and a sweatshirt which I wore to death! Lovely machine sir!

Lovely build - I still have an F2 which I have had from new! The frame isn't without short comings (slushy back brake - even with V-Brakes) but your build is really similar to mine in many ways. I also raced it with the red Z-max tyres 1.5" I think - the tyres cost me a packet back in the 90's and lasted 1 race!!!! But the weight and ride quality with those tyres on was amazing. I'm looking at doing a rebuild on mine as it has needed a service for years so I might do a full strip rebuild. Good work and great informed video - cheers.

i think the 90`s was the best time for mountain bikes, there was some amazing designs and concepts from your bike to the kliens alpinestars, GT`S and a manitou full suspension bike which basically had the front forks on the rear as well, some of the engineering was amazing, and wouldn't be out of place in a museum..
Sadly just like mobile phones mountain bikes have gone the same way, where they are all basically the same. Nice bike👍

totally agree...looking back it felt like the early 90's and the MTB scene was an era of experiments, a series of trials and effectively prototypes and innovation that were sold on to the public.....and the changes came thick and fast !!!

Perfect judgement there - especially with the tyres and grips. Also keeping it real with XT!
