I grew up on the hill 1977 a senior at PV high. Lived by crest road. I still ride dirt bikes and was able to ride everyday over in the Portuguese open space. Had 3 motocross tracks then. Stop when 18 years old and went to college. Probably the last to ride there. Did get , I think 5 tickets between 10 and 18 yeas of age. My dad was so cool.
I grew up here and the population has absolutely grown over the past 30/40 years. The traffic is awful compared to the late 60's, 70's and 80's. We used to have open fields and there was only one gated community. It was so beautiful and quiet and safe. The Peninsula Center was small with open lots between the library and the Center. There were no apartments anywhere in that area. It's sad to me.
I still go to Red Onion. I remember when McDonald's went in next to Chrenshaw on Silver Spur. I was next to Hughes Market next to crest rd. Was at the opening.
Does it feel very conservative there? Does the population seem diverse at all? We're considering relocating from Santa Clarita, for the schools and the proximity to the beaches. We've lived all over LA-Burbank, Hancock Park, West Hollywood and now, SCV. I'm hoping to find a family-friendly area with some character, great schools, and that doesn't feel too isolated and suburban.
Hi Stacy. Feel free to call me or email me if easier to chat. It depends on what part you are looking to move to? The further south in PV yes it can feel more conservative and isolated but the closer you get to Rolling Hill Estates and Palos Verdes Estates you won't feel isolated and it is a great place to live. I'm more than happy to help you find a place too. Give me a call at 323 350 5770.
0:12 What are the lot sizes like?

Forget about buying anything NEAR Portuguese Bend!

@@gusmegos7384 Geologists have been warning not to build in this area for decades.
What's the next area you suggest, so we all know where to stay away from?

PV is very diverse. Lots of Asians.
@@KCiAzN Not as diverse as SV.
Great place to live unless you don't want your house to sink and slide and crumble. Otherwise, great.
Tuned in to see the beautiful neighborhood but all I saw was this dude's face.
appreciate the kind words
You only need several million dollars and great home insurance.
