It’s so bizarre to me that the 19x as a candidate for the military program was not optic cut
From what I’ve heard that’s why lost Sig’s bid was $100 million less than Glock and it still included an optic…
Cuz Glock is lazy now. Look at the video, the exact same gun twice minus the optic cut, but two "different" models. Military said they wanted an optic ready modular system. And Glock said, here's our most basic shit, take it or leave it
The 19x mos is coming out soon and it addresses the optics problem. It is having production and supply issues but should be filling up the market soon.
@@robertfridley280 mos sucks… nobody should use mounting plates… industry needs to figure out a standard footprint and stop mucking about with it.
@@hops2099x you might want to check it out. The G19 MOS seems to be different. It takes a direct Mount and does not require a plates it works with existing sites. There’s a name for that and I can’t remember what it is right now. I’m not a Glock guy, but I’m gonna keep an open mind and I’m going to check it out.
Best guns for my size (Hobbit) hands is the Walther PDP and the G19 X. Until I shoot it, I won’t really know.
You say round capacity, I say I live in New York - and then I cry.
just curious what is up with new york in carrying?
@@legollama88politicians just don’t understand what stops criminals so they punish law abiding citizens in the criminals place
Same in California
Glock 48 is a great gun that holds 10 rounds if you don’t already have one
Same in here in jersey 😂😂they keep playing games with the right to carry 🤦🏽♂️
I like peanut butter and night sights, so I got the 19x.
Yep basically me lol
mane mine didn’t come wit night sights 😭. its an easy install tho
@@guccigaming2997do they come with them in the box or do you have to order the night sights separate?
I am very happy with my 45. Had an optic laying around already so I tossed a 407c on it, installed a set of ameriglo tritium 3 dot sights for cowitness & a TLR1. First glock I’ve actually enjoyed handling/shooting.
What's the benifit of having tritium 3 dots, and a red dot all while trying to stay target focused. Wouldnt you kinda wanna say less is more? Red dot, stay target focused. Blacked out rear and then if you have a red dot maybe a red fiber front? Keeling it same color. Barely able to see them. Unjumbled sight picture, stay target focused. In just curious why that is your go to
@@willr4880 the ameriglo tritiums were cheap, and also I like having night sights in case of a dot or WML failure
@@calebnation6155 just because somthing was cheap doesnt mean you should do it. Getting into an altercation, getting into one at night, getting into one at night while your dot fails, and it just so happened your wmL failed too. Odds - 00000000000000000.1 percent. You might be over thinking it alittle bit brother but at the end of the day you do you. Have a good one.
@@willr4880 yeah but a good price + redundancy is a solid choice in my opinion.
@@willr4880bro shut up. He can do what he wants
I prefer the 19x only because I have an army of mountain lions and we like the blend in.
The 19x comes with a lanyard loop
The 45 with front serrations
this. shocks me how all these videos forget the front serrations.
Ok all the new gen 5s have front serrations, the 19x was glocks bid for the us armys new handgun contract which sig some how won
@@_hi_pwrsig won because of prices and added security wich glock refused to put on his glocks.
@@LuckyFullPRGlock did add safety’s but it increased the price. Sig really won because their pistols were interchangeable and able to be modified with different parts from the 3 they offered. With the Glock, you would’ve had to buy an entire new pistol to change out different parts. Which also made it more expensive in the long run.
@@qbanz00bingo
You forgot the lack of mag compatibility on the 19X due to the tab on the bottom front of the grip!
Ignores literally the 2nd most important difference behind the sights
What mags can’t be used?
@@jt-silva1162 any Gen 5 Glock 17/45 mag- the base plate has a tab that is blocked by that frame feature, so you’ll have to get gen 4 or prior mags or G19X mags. Or extendos
@@jt-silva1162any gen 5 17 round mag only gen 4 fit 19x 👎
@@jt-silva1162Gen5 glock 17 mags. However all other 1-4 Gen mags can be used. Big deal. Also, the little tab on the 19x can be easily ground off with a Dremel tool in about 6 seconds to accept Gen5 mags. But there’s no need for that as Gen4 mags are still being made and sold everywhere.
Also the 19x comes with maritime cups that lets you shoot under water and its AKA peanutbutter they will accept 5gen mags if you mill or cut the little tail in the bottom... the standard 45 normally doesn't come with the MOS ready or metal/nightsights, it has front serrations, both are amazing pistols...
There’s more differences that were left out of the video…
-Internal maritime spring cups come standard with the 19X, whereas the 45 does NOT have them.
-19x does not have fwd slide serrations, whereas the 45 does.
-19X comes with a removable lanyard loop, wheras the 45x does not.
-19x comes with two factory 19-round magazines and one 17-rounder, whereas the 45 comes with 17-rnd mags only.
-19x just looks cooler. 😜
Nah man as far as looking caller it’s always gonna go to the all black glock come on that’s just to sexy but I love the 19x as well it’s awesome honestly can’t belibe the military took the shitty P320s over the 19x
@@chase8289Exaxtly! I can’t believe it either! The military only paid $216 each for those piece of siht Sigs. The 19X is a hugely better combat weapon.
also I believe g17 mags will not fit the 19x
@@raymondxiao2716 Your belief is incorrect. The 19x takes the G17 magazine. That’s what it was made for.
@@colt10mmsecurity68 I tried it at the range, it literally doesnt
If you liked the Barreta 92 (military M9) then you'll be okay with the Glock 45. Then, if you are okay with the Glock 45, you'll love the 19X. All the controls are right where you left them.
My EDC is the 19X Love it
What holster do you use?
@@mynameismudd3134 right now I. Using MFT Mission First Tactical you can find at academy for about 40.. they have a slim line that just covers the trigger guard so it's extremely small and has a retention claw with it conceals the 19 well
I have both and can’t decide which I like best… that’s why I call them my deadly twins 😂
Is it just me or does the 19X have a nicer trigger? Every 19X I have pulled the trigger on felt better than the 45
dont need custom milling, u can get plates that fit in the sight slot.
Glock has evolved into the “Jordan” of polymer pistols
You forgot the actual important differences
1. The 19X can only use Gen 4 or earlier magazines because of the grip lip…unless you swap out the Gen 5 baseplates with Gen 4 or earlier.
2. The G45 has a breech face cut milled in to aid in ejection. The 19X lacks this cut.
This is exactly what I thought
I feel like everybody who mentions the grip lip couldn’t have held the gun that lil piece make a Glock feels so much better in hand
@@Tommy-nt6wv I own several 19X’s actually. People want to know a difference. That’s a difference. It’s also a difference that affects magazine compatibility so it’s important to know. How it feels is irrelevant.
@@w.w.9047 never said anything about it being irrelevant.. just stating a fact and it’s there because soldiers shot with gloves and that prevents their gloves getting stuck between the gun and the lip of the magazine
Love my 19x but they definitely should of made it optic ready
G45 100% >
The 19X, which has an added lip at the bottom of the grip, will not accept gen 5 mags due to changes in the contour of the baseplate. The G45 accepts all mags.
Why tf does Glock feel the need to make so many variations with slightly different features. Gets pretty annoying
yeah I went through Glocks line up and then gave up... just too many variants and no real explanation of differences... but then I'm in the UK
Fails to mention that standard glock sights are polymer after saying the night sights are steel. That's a pretty important difference.
I’ve had my 45 for about 4 years. Was able to get it with Ameriglow sights but mine was not MOST cut. Not a deal breaker for me. IMHO, it feels like a full size when I shoot it, and compact regardless of carry method. Great gun! Thanks for the review! Well done as always.
Love my 45 with acro sight
I have both Glock 45 & 19 love them .
Love my 19x just wish it was optic cut and mag well
Loved the 19x so much I bought 2 handles +p+ 147 like a boss 😎
I love my 19x I sent my slide off to get milled and it's now my favorite pistol
Went with the 19x.
Not disappointed!!!
Oh and don't forget the magazines which are different. Good video.
G45 it's just a G19X but for grown up men not interested in larping.
The 19x doesn’t take all the same 17 round double stack mags that fit in the 17, 19, 45, and 26, unless you cut that lip off the bottom of the frame.
the G19x also has a marine cup allowing for no James while shooting underwater.
Okay yeah we covered that there are night sights but what’s the difference? U can’t expect us to believe they made an entirely new model and the sole change is the fact that it has glow in the dark sights…
I am not sure why Inlike that gentleman, is itnhis honesty? Is it simplicity of explaining things? Is it how short vids are??
He has a cool factor......
The Glock mos sucks . If you're going to run a dot, get the 19x & get it milled for "Glock perfection."
Everyone's talking about the esthetics and minor differences, and no one is addressing the major differences in any of the videos. 19x comes with maritime spring cups out the box, and has improved npvd coating more resistant to rust and elements.
First thing I noticed right off the back was they were completely different colors
Just picked up the 19x yesterday. My first gun
before watching the video, one is designed for civilian markets and can be had with different features. the other one is a special addition designed for military use only but is available for civilians
A super 300 .. who's the thousand?
Ever since I laid my eyes on a glock, every other handgun started looking like a flashy toy to me, handicapped in functionality in comparison to the Glock.
TL:DW theres very little difference unless you want optics
Man, try the Springfield armory hellcat pro with comp, just try it, put the bias away I promise you'll like it
For when you absolutely, positively INSIST on having a carry gun that prints. Glock boys will buy ANYTHING they put out.
I have both. The 45 is my EDC. The 19X sits in the box.
Print like a 17, less sight radius. A lose-lose.
Mag capacity is not a selling point for the 19x or 45 over the 19. If you want more ammo put a 17 mag in. The grip length doesn’t matter when there’s an over insertion stop
19x was the first gun i bought, love it
Awesome gun
I need it left handed that looks left handed to me. Looks like the slide stop is on the right for a left handed shooter
Nah he missed that point but good eye, the 19x is the only model to my knowledge that has an ambidextrous slide lock
Glocks gotta get with the time S far as night sights and optic cuts in popular models.
My question is why does a self defense weapon need sights because the way the law is someone basically needs to be on you before u can use it and in 99% of situations u dont have time to even use a sight.
The 19x should’ve came with an optic cut and ported from factory!
I believe the 19x only comes in FDE, where the 45 comes in various colors. Please correct me id I'm wrong.
I love my 19x!!!! I have friends in the sf community that run optics and use them in combat yet I still out shoot them with irons. Really it comes down to training and what works for you. 2 of my sf buddies have the g45. Great gun... But I like my 19x it works for me.
You shoot stationary paper targets there guy
There is a 19x with threaded barrel and MOS. Had it I the store the other week.
I am sorry but calling those half-baked glow-in-the-dark sights night-sights shouldn't even be legal. You could literally achieve the same effect with glow-in-the-dark nail polish. You would think at the price point they could at least put tritium night sights on them.
Ah no, obviously you know Glock includes nothing with their pistols and everything is additional cost.
The Harley Davidson of pistols
woah its the X16
You forgot to mention on the 45 it has a slight beveled magwell
So do deez nuts
Got my son a 45 - he likes it a lot
Got both of them, never had any problems with them
You forgot the end where the bottom magazine.
To be honest, i prefer iron sights, or if i’ll gonna put a sight on my gun im gonna make sure that the original sights are raised
The 19x now has an Mos model
There is a Glock 19x MOS already... I'll pick that..👍👍👍
IT THE SAME FREAKING GUN, WHY ARE WE PLAYING STUPID GAMES, WE MUST WANT TO WIN STUPID PRIZES!!!!!!!!!!
Keep it simple....same gun.
The Glock 50 will be the 19X frame with the 45 slide..
Glock 51 will be the 45 slide and 19x frame?
Quite a few differences? Hahaahah
I have the glock 19x , the difference is the color & the fact that the 19x will not accept but 19x magazines , I actually modified the magwell on my 19x which accepts all the oem glock mags , I also do have a G45 , which I love , I have had the 19x since it came out for sale , the G45 , I only recently purchased earlier this year , I love them both- confessions of a 1911 Guy 😎
Lanyard loop is the selling point
Trench warfare making a comback
Glock 19x gen 4 and Glock 41 are my two pistols I have and carry
They make a mos 19x now!
Everyone acts like the 45 doesn’t also come with night sights if you pay a few dollars more
Glocks look the absolute best, just an awesome aesthetic derived from functionality, durability and futuristic engineering. If another world war comes, this will be the handgun in use by the overwhelming majority of people, because you can't beat that reliability, modularity and ammo capacity.
They now have a 19X mos you should update your info boys
I have the Glock 45, but mine doesn't have the optic cut. Hmmm. Strange. Guess all of them didnt have it.
So... Night sights or MOS, both of which can be had on either. "Quite a few differences."
I'm getting the 19× for my second handgun
Personally I feel like extending the grip was not the best design idea. In a 19 grip, you can use Glock 17 magazines. Of course that being said, I’m a 5’4” 110lb dude with fairly small hands. Maybe somebody out there needs that extra grip length.
Please make video about Cz 82 next one 🙏🙏🙏
Like your style
Regular 19 with x grip sleeve anyone?
All those differences you are talking about plus, the 19x was designed for the Army but lost the contract thank you Sig, and the 45 is more of the commercial model and love this video and how you describe both guns
Forgot the lanyard loop
Didn't glock have a 19x mos released recently, or am I losing my mind?
Yes they did I actually just bought one
You forgot the biggest difference. The 19x has the coveted and essential lanyard loop.
I believe Glock will end up in the dust if they don’t start to innovate and improve their weapon systems; Nights sights, optic cuts, new triggers… seems as if they are chilling and riding the “Most reliable” Gun thing.
Little note all Gen 5 Glocks come with steel sights they may not be night sights like what come on the 19x but they’re not plastic either like gen 4 and previous gens
My Glock 44 (gen 5) has plastic sights and a plastic slide.
My 45 came with steel NS from the factory
That’s excellent, but not how they all come.
There is no difference. Every single Glock is the same except for frame size.
19x has maritime spring cups too
Greatest pistol in history.
Ge left out that the 19x has the lanyard loop, and doesn't have front slide serations.
Model 42 and 21. Im fighting or defending. Different tools for different jobs.
How did they not add front serrations on the 19x?
Very nice 👍
They didnt do much lol. They painted it a new colour and called it the 19x to charge people lol. Its just a g45
I want a 17 slide on a 19 frame dangit
Front serrations as well‼️
I got my 19x custom milled it’s sweet I put it on my RUclips
I prefer the 19 X . Not a fan of front serrations or the mag well.
