❚ 1962 Porsche 356 B Carrera 2000 GS sports car in slate grey
The 356 B Carrera 2 comes with a 2.0 litre vertical shaft Fuhrmann engine - Königswellenmotor - and produces 130HP (96kW) at 6200rpm. With a curb weight of 1020kg the 2000 GS is capable of a top speed of 200km/h and a 0-100km/h time of 9.0sec. The Carrera 2 series was also the first to be fitted with disc brakes on all wheels.
The 2000 GS/GT series was produced from September 1961 until July 1963 and could be ordered in the variants Coupé, Cabriolet and Roadster. A total of 310 units were built.

The romance of motoring in a dream car.
I actually can't remember how many 356s I've had in my lifetime.Bought the first one when I was still in high school,brazed in new floor pans,rebuilt the carburetors and sold it for a tidy profit!I kept doing the same thing time and again always making a good profit while driving a great car.Then I started buying cars in very decent shape fixing them up a bit but I was really buying them as driving cars.Again,I'm not sure how many came and went but I finally realized I simply loved driving the 356 whether it was A,B,Super90 or a C model,coupe or cabriolet.I then bought a 912 that didn't really impress me but found a '71 911S that I absolutely fell in love with!My goodness,I was kind of spoiled with some of the 356s I had but that '71"S" model was truly a thing of beauty in so many different respects!That car could get up and go but at the same time could dance like a ballerina!I am,to this day,a real believer in the Porsche marque(brand)!

Yes, it sounds just beautful. The car was sold back in March, so unfortunately there will be no Autobahn clip with this one. But I'll consider it for future videos.
