How to Setup Throttle linkage on a Briggs Engine

- Hey guys today i'm going to show you how to setup a throttle for a Mini Bike. More specifically a Briggs and Stratton engine. I've had so many problems trying to make them work. I finally figured it out and wanted to show you guys how.

The kit comes with its own return spring. It's the gold spring with the hook. There is a pic of how this kit goes together on the eBay auction were you would buy it.

Thanks for the tutorial. I couldn’t find another video for the throttle kit. It was a huge help! I did have to get a longer bolt for the new link that screws into the side of the carburetor. The new linkage mount adds about a 1/4 inch more length. This was on an older Briggs though.

It should a lot of the bolt patters are the same
3:30 that black throttle linkage cable is crooked.. it needs to be lined straight for a smoother throttle operation. just loosen that 12mm bolt turn it straight and re-tight the bolt..

That rigged wire on the throttle body does that come with the kit or you just use a bread tie

do you have to disconnect the governor on this set up?
wakeywakey no we have yet to disconnect the governor but that can be something for you to decide

Mini Moto What I'm thinking is when you removed the black plastic piece and replaced it with the metal one you disconnected the linkage that goes straight down to the govenor arm.
