Was hoping to also hear more about the girl and/or the relationship.. Do they respect her regardless? Do they make an effort to come up with other fun things to do together? behappy I don't think that women think their vagina is a "prize" or that's where we hold our "value". sex is an intimate experience for both parties involved. the choice to stay a virgin until marriage, is no more than a clarification to the other wise known statement "I want to save myself for someone special" , in which case their someone special they have decided will be their husband. saving themselves isn't putting a win all sign on their vagina. they just don't want to share that intimate experience with someone that really isn't for them. they don't want to experience the "hit it and quit it" scenario. they value an actual relationship with some one, and it is a clear statement to their partner that they are looking for marriage, and if the guy isn't ready for that, they find out really early in the relationship (I'm taking same day early) which saves the both of them time. also the word "prize" makes it seems like the man has to labor, and suffer for his gold metal during their honeymoon. I ask, if a guy really values the girl, and the relationship he has with her.... is it really that laborious to respect her wishes? I see it as an opportunity for them to get their heads out of their pants, and learn something about themselves, and how to have a real relationship with the opposite sex. if anyone has labeled their reproductive organ as a prize... try 2/3 of the male population.
If you watch the statements of the men in these video and some of the comments, that is exactly what I and many others took as if the vagina is a prize for the man. As you can see the only focus is on the woman.
Secondly, I never implied all women waiting think of their vagina as a prize, I clearly stated this is what I got from the video and defo some of these comments. But I'm sorry if you do not think sex is a mutual experience between two people (and yes that's a great mentality to have and if your waiting with that mentality then all power to you and power to those who do not. However, if instead you believe that your vagina is a 'gift' for some man, then I don't see the difference in that and the fathers who sold their virgin daughters into marriage years ago and still do today.

If he just wants what he can get from under those jeans, and that v-neck, it's either 1) he'll be out of the door so fast you'd wonder if he got a speeding ticket on his way out, or 2) he'll persist and pressure her until she gives it up, or until the relationship ends . in the end the woman has saved herself from sharing that intimate moment with someone that wasn't really there for them. Believe it or not, that thought could be more painful, than the breaking up. its a challenging topic with no definite answer. it's hard for the woman who has made the choice, and it's hard for her potential suitors. But what's new with human interaction...

I understand the concept of waiting and I never insinuated I'm against waiting or anything at all lol. My whole commentary has been about the value some women place on their vaginas only when they do see it as a prize but not only that when it becomes their self-worth. And that's why I made my first point in that it goes both ways with your self-worth being based on vagina- you participate with low life men. But also the other end of the spectrum - when your vagina becomes your identity it can be just as destructive to the women:
-If you are raped? This is always a traumatic event but I know of a number of women who have 'lost their virginity' this way and feel it makes them less of a women or feel less worthy than the next women.
-or if their experience wasn't as hoped as everyone in society and just regular people always say it should be, she is shamed and degraded and made to feel less of a woman.
-To place this as your worth you may never know your true value which comes from inside of you.
I also do not dismiss men's behavior just because society says that can do that, because feeding into this feeds the problem. Men do not get a pass just because their men.
And I clearly stated that what I got from the video and some of these comments is that women clearly do view their vagina as a prize and the men are viewing her a virginity as a prize that they can now be the ones to 'deflower' rather than having that girl herself. So I don't understand why you took that I am NOT talking to those who do not and waiting for their own choice. Like I said the 'prize' and holding your value as a person in your vagina goes both ways- from sleeping with multiple men as using your vagina as a gateway (Not because you WANT to - not the same thing) and from using your vagina to 'win' him over where you 'kept yourself in order to 'please' your husband' - Instead of yourself! I say "I'm a virgin by choice (not religion or family pressure or anything else) and only looking to have sex after marriage. Decent guys respond well to that honesty; they'll tell you right away whether they can or can't roll with that. Either way they swing does not make them or you any more/less of a bad person.
