Were you able to get WeChat pay and Didi to work in China? I downloaded those apps but there was always some issues, so I had to use cash instead; and navigating the subways was no stroll through the park!
We found we had to have a Chinese card for them to work. I had a Chinese bank card because I worked there and my work set it up for me but yeah, we couldn’t get our uk accounts to work on the apps at times. Sometimes they work but occasionally the gov stop foreign cards working, it just depends on the time you visit. I think they have got stricter since the pandemic

I got Wechat pay to work easily with a UK bank card. No problem at all. really easy just follow the instructions
