She also raised Teddy for a couple of years Harry and Ginny got married after losing her husband, daughter and son in law. Edit: thanks for everyone who clarified that he lived with Andromeda for his whole life and just visited the Potters' often.
Somehow she became the "official" fancast among the fandom editors (such as myself but I wouldn't have casted her either haha), I love Keira Knightley but I don't necessarily see her as Andromeda. But I think she has quite a few movies that fit into the Slytherin kind of aesthetic so from an editor's point of view she would be an obvious choice!
I think she also looks like she could be related to Katie McGrath, the fancast for younger Bellatrix, who would be excellent to play her imo. And in the book, Harry first thought Andromeda was Bellatrix because they look very similar but she had kinder, softer features. Which I think Keira does have when comparing her and Katie. Edit: also I’m not saying Katie doesn’t have soft kind features either but damn she could so play Bellatrix just remembering her performance as Morgan le Fay
Yes. the movie intentionally chose to exclude or give importance story arcs to wonderful characters like these..Tonk was the coolest character of all being a shape shifter. Just wished they focused on her sacrifice and her story. There was a scene where she and Lupin announced her pregnancy and it was brushed away like it means nothing because it doesn’t concern the great Harry Potter. The movies need to be remade to do justice to these wonderful characters of the wizarding world including Ron and Ginny.
Lol you know nothing about filmmaking. You cant make the movies 4 hours long and stuff them with a bunch of characters and plotlines that the casual viewer would be unable to follow just to appease book fans.
A Slytherin that marries a Ravenclaw and has a child that is in Hufflepuff who then goes on to marry a man who was a Gryffindor. Ain’t that something lol
It’s sad because Ted, Tonks, and Bellatrix died. She may have been conflicted about her sister but I imagine she was devastated. Add the layer that Tonks didn’t like her given name for whatever reason. It would be a wild story to tell from her perspective. Having to raise Teddy and him spending an obscene amount of time with the Potters. I imagine she was extremely lonely in her later years.
I can't relate to the fact of seeing my family or friend on the other side of war but I doubt she was devastated at Bellatrix's death . I wonder sometimes if, after the Second Wizarding War, Andromeda and Narcissa finally met together, at least once. Andromeda lost a husband, daughter, son-in-law, and sister in the war, and she was left to raise her grandson. Narcissa, of course, lost the same sister, but otherwise her family was intact. I like to imagine that Lucius drank himself to an early death, and when he died Andromeda and Narcissa met for tea and cards once a month to boast over their grandchildren and share childhood memories ... @@Stayville_Clown I agree that Noone deserves to die, but at the same time, a person can be so far gone that even if you attempted, and were successful in detaining them, their hatred of you and everything you hold dear can wind up inevitably causing a death somewhere down the line, Bellatrix was so psychopathic that she would have found a way to escape Azkaban and immediately went for Molly and the weasleys for detaining her, or Harry and ginny because of Harry killing voldemort
@@viper2003923 Agreed . Sometimes it's even worse to allow someone to live rather than killing them because they are just too dangerous . One of the aspects of the "Harry Potter" series, which I find powerful, is the dark reality of the world. How it closes in, robbing the youthful innocence of the protagonists, and replacing it with the dark necessity of adult life. It's very analogous to the world in which we live today.
A series of Flukes . I shudder to imagine what would have happened if just something went wrong in the final year / 7th book . The war or the story itself would have been far darker .

I like to think that after the second wizarding war ended, Narcissa reached out to Andromeda and they mended their relationship
I forget if it was in the epilogue, or if JK Rowling said it later, but Narcissa and Lucius were never quite able to be accepting of Muggleborns and Muggles. Their DIL was accepting and got Draco to be as well, but I guess Narcissa and Lucius were too stuck in their ways.
@@elizabethkelley2559 I suspect after the war Narcissa and Lucius retreated from public life mostly due to shame and stigma.

Regulus bought into the “pure-blood supremacy” because he was indoctrinated with it from day one, and thought that joining the Death Eaters would make his parents proud after they were so bitterly disappointed by their eldest son rejecting everything Slytherin and running away from home. He was basically still an entry-level sheep who hadn’t seen any of the horrific stuff yet, a 🤩fan of the Dark Lord’s high ideals and charisma when Voldy asked for the use of his House Elf, and didn’t find out until _after_ Kreacher came home, how vile the Dark Lord really was, which made him question all the pure-blood supremacy ideals he was raised with, and the kind of cult he’d actually joined☝️
Regulus loved his family, including Kreacher, and didn’t want to disappoint any of them, but also knew that he couldn’t live with his conscience and stay with the Death Eaters after discovering what the Dark Lord was really like, so he found perhaps the only way to get out honorably by doing his part to bring Voldy down and at the same time protecting his family by swearing Kreacher to secrecy about what he did😢

I wonder sometimes if, after the Second Wizarding War, Andromeda and Narcissa finally met together, at least once.
