Oh you must’ve brought the same one but with the hard drive I have a DVR but I don’t think I have a hard drive I’m not sure how to tell I’m just getting used to this stuff and thank you very much for all your help so what you’re telling me is I can record but I can’t record a lot of stuff so I would have to look at the app to see if somethings going on correct or put the motion back on
Hey, just came across your channel as I've just purchased a Zosi security system. My system is only works on my phone when I'm home and it's switch to my home network. How do I get it to work on my smartphone while out? Oh, it doesn't work with my photo data either.
Just started having the same issue. Live viewing is good but, when viewing previous recordings "no data" or screen is solid black or screen flickers. Non stop issues since purchasing 7mths ago & Zosi provides no assistance.
I got the 4k 8 camera system 2TB backup, only feature I want that I don't have is color night vision but pfst... Who cares I can see everything and the night vision is great. It states you can see up to 150 feet away at night, but I watch the guy up the street come home at midnight and he is over 300 feet away.. great system, it docimiles in 1080p, but hit the HD button and BAM! You're counting nose hairs!
@@donaldfragale3733 id say it’s probably not that good if it’s the case. True night vision is colorless because it uses infrared like the ZOSI. Black and white is truly what you want with night vision
I put in a 4T hard drive and just record everything on all cameras 24/7. HD's are cheap and huge so no need to worry about running out of storage space.
I wish you could explain more details as to why it is iffy on motion detection. I read other reviews that said the same. But I don't know what a good system should do or not.
For the money you won’t get better on motion detection... a system with good motion detection that doesn’t give many false readings will cost 4 times more
I have a zosi & it's motion detection is so hair trigger it's almost useless unless you have it fixed on a location that nothing normally moves but the sun going in & out of a cloud or headlights from passing cars will set it off too.
The hard drive in these units gets pretty hot with no fan in it so you'll likely get a shortened lifespan out of a HD however I salvaged a mini fan out of a junk pc & tied in in to the hard drives power supply wires to cool it down but I had to leave the the cover off to do that. I'll likely cut out a section of it later to get it back on.
The easiest way is to purchase a USB fan from amazon for $10 they are small ,just plug in and aim it at side vents , your good to go. Just seen a reputable review on them they last pretty good. Probably about as good as the Zosi dvr , I`ve been thru few different ones seems like every 5 yr no matter how much I paid so I went cheap this time Zosi.
Hate to differ with Brandon, but I have a 16 channel Zosi and love it. I have a monitor down in my computer room/home office with the grid display from Zosi unit that is upstairs so I can monitor the goings on around the house while I'm "at work". I think it is a bargain for the money - but you get what you pay for, a basic system that does well.
I saw on another video that it sets an alert for (P)ower or (I)mage (R)emoval. Essentially it allows you to also be alerted if the unit has been powered down or if a camera has been disconnected. Pretty cool feature, if you need it.
hello how do you send email alerts to your phone how do you input your email in zosi so i can get email alerts i dont know where to access that info please help
can we control the DVR (Like changing camera channels and other actions) using a universal remote? It is really hard to use the mouse every time. I rather prefer being able to control it from a distance using a remote.
Quick question how do you set it up on your phone I have a iPhone every time I go to click on one of the cameras on my phone it says cameras are off-line what does that mean thanks
kevin Hayes your dvr is for sure connected to the internet right? Also read the book and make sure you’re using the proper Zosi app..there are quite a few
Yes I’m using the ZOSI VIEW app on my iPhone but every time I go onto my phone and hit the camera it always tells me cameras are off-line but I’ll double check
So that might be the reason why it’s saying my cameras are off-line the DVR might not be connected and the app do you want me to do ZOSI Smart or ZOSI view thanks
V Benvegnu I think you have to acknowledge it afterward it will not stop on it’s own... that I know of... you could always call tech support and give it a try
@@BrandonActionJackson What I mean is we have tried one box for the cameras and it was one beep as an alarm. That was fantastic however it didn't always display or record. So this is the third different box, everything is ok but the weird alarm. All good though, it doesn't seem possible.
kevin Hayes you mean in reguards to sensitivity? I had all of mine turned off... bugs would fly around the night vision and set it off but you could have a different experience You will just have to experiment to see what works for you
I saw on another video that it sets an alert for (P)ower or (I)mage (R)emoval. Essentially it allows you to also be alerted if the unit has been powered down or if a camera has been disconnected. Pretty cool feature, if you need it.
So quick question I have the same zosic system that u have and the motion when I turn it on I’m not sure how to use it so the sensitivity is it best to put it on one or higher and when I usually do it I block out the stuff so the motion don’t go off all the timeI only wanted to go off if there was actually somebody coming to the house how do you do that thanks
Oh OK well I’m trying to either figure it out or get a new security system I’m thinking about Xfinity home security system because I cannot figure this zosic system out thanks a lot bro
whiteboy12911 the ZOSI security camera a system is a great system minus motion detection. Xfinity system will be nothing but a bill in the long run. If you want quality motion detection go ahead and get a Lorex system. If you have ZOSI then your home is already pre wired you’ll save money in the long run over going through a cable provider who will charge you an arm and a leg forever or purchase the reolink system. Click my affiliate link in the description and check out some related systems or search the reolink and lorex from there
Had two different ZOSI systems. Recording quality is good. Functionality is mediocre. If you want working motion detection without false alarms don’t get it. I recently upgraded to 4K reolink and the quality is 10x better than ZOSI but motion detection still sucks
I added a microphone that I bought off Amazon to my system. It is tucked in the soffet near where one of my cameras is placed and has a wire that runs back to my Zosi. Then I just have to indicate which channel I want the audio associated with.
lower the number on sensitivity the easier it is to set off u would think its higher number but its not dont know why they did it that way butt whatever
WHO HAS THE TIME TO SIT AROUND AND MONITOR SECURITY CAMERAS ALL DAY LONG. So great, you're staring at the monitor at 3am and you catch someone messing with your car. SO NOW WHAT? Are you willing to get up off your butt, grab your shotgun and go confront the criminal?
Hi Brandon,I Have the Zosi wireless security cameras I can't stop the alarm from going off when it changes cameras do you know how to solve the problem
Great system. I just installed mine 2 days ago. So far so good. No glitches.

Why didn't you go over the alarm out ?
How can I get an audio alarm signal on my cell phone. I am getting the snaps but not any audio notification.
How do you get notifications sent to phone?
My dvr cannot connect to tv. Rhe power light indicator is Red, not green. I use hdni cable. Please help

Is there a way to set this system up to record only on motion?
Teagan Padget yes there is however the motion detection is not the greatest ...
how to set up alarm on iphone?

Is there a way to change the amount of beeping because the continuous beeping is so unnecessary?..

yes, you can adjust the length of the beep from 5 secs on up

what do the yellow and green boxes in the bottom corners mean?
The hard drive is working recording
When it turns yellow it's storing a clip in the motion events video section which is separate from the 24/7 recording

Unless it's sold with a HD, no, they mostly sell them without one.

the pir opction in what carama ?

Motion sensor sensivity with Zosi DVRs is contra intuitive! See it as 'motion treshold'. The lower the value, the more sensitive the detection!
Just found this out the hard way today.
Oh shit that's my problem thank you so much
my motion detection doesn't work
CalebGamer 16 it’s not the best I don’t use it anymore for motion
