I'm literally in love with this game, amazing storyline, sidequest, graphics, the perfect amount of relaxation and intensity, and not to mention the music.
This simple tune had me in tears the whole day after I had already completed Stray due to my cat passing away not too long before the game released. The song helped me move on and keep my life moving forward.
i like how realistic this game is, usually when people play guitar it would sound deeper, since he's a robot and using his robot fingers to play the guitar, there's this touch up effect when he play the guitar sound a bit shrill than how normal people play guitar. Despite all of that I still love all the music that he plays
Sound design in this game is awesome, just listen the paw-step, when our ginger cat hit something like bottle or empty can, dropping from height and landing on metal surfaces, when i hear it, its just felt real
it’s based off of Counting Stars, by Nujabes, off the 2nd collection album. arguably one of the best projects he was on. it’s so nice to see people take his work and do their own spin on it. shoutout to the creators of this game and RIP to the boy Nujabes
Sorry to break it to you, Nujabes just sampled it. THE original is Affirmation by Jose Feliciano. Its from 1975. When I heard the song in game I was like, wait a minute, I know this melody. Quick resorach pointed me to Feliciano, but that still wasn't the song I knew. I'm familiar with the melody because of the cover from 1976 by George Benson.
I bought this game not knowing how happy it would make me. I played and played and almost cried a couple times. I thought that I was going to break down when it ended but when I saw the credits roll, I just sat there for a minute. I havent found a game as good as this one yet, but I'm hoping I will. This is the best game I have ever played in my life. If Annapurna is reading this (which I sincerely doubt) thank you.

It’s only been about a day since I finished the game and I have no idea why the ending gets me so emotional it feels like something was ripped out of me when b12 gave his robot body to see the amount of people this little cat had met just for him to leave alone really brings a tear to my eye but not a bad one a good one maybe it’s just me but I really feel as if this was the perfect game just something about makes it so good the correct amount of emotion relaxation and story this song makes my curiosity peak and just wonder what the cat did after and if he ever went back.
I got emotional because the people inside the city finally saw the light of day after hundreds of years in darkness, watching that roof open was cathartic...

Esta música ahora para mi es muy nostálgica, las pequeñas historias de cada robot que conocimos se quedarán en mi corazón por un milenio, gracias por hacer este video.

I miss this game so much. I haven't played it for almost two years. I used to have it on my PS4 for PlayStation plus, but my dad ended the subscription for it and I lost all my memory. I have to get the disc copy of it now. Also, this game is SOOO good. ❤

The game is just sad in general now this makes it even more sad I almost cried at the start of the game when the cat fell down and the robot too at the end of the game the game is the saddest game I have come across

I love this song for a few reasons, one becauseit sounds like the song "Im sorry Miss Jackson" which i remember from my childhood. That, and it's a relaxing song that is overall nice to hear. I actually got my achievement for sleeping 1 hour using said song.
Call me weird if you want but stray is my comfort game it keeps me company and sometimes I go to sleep this music and I already learned the alphabet of the language the robot speak
this just reminds me of my cat that got ran over. I can’t believe that it was supposed to be a happy day and we just see my cat, squished with its guts out 😭 whenever we get a new cat it is staying inside, but let’s hope it doesn’t act as bad as our old cat :(
Nahh i think the fact you play as a cat, a simple creature with simple goals whose social skills go as far as meowing at people and scratching doors and stuff, i think thats what makes the game and the emotions you feel throughout it so much more complex, yk? He didn't have to utter a single solitary word and yet the people who made the game make me feel so much for the cat and the relationships he makes.. i think thats true talent.
