I do like how you are willing to try new toys or rather tools. One never knows what a new tool may accomplish. I think the Connor Hook is a great name. It's too bad no one has invented a flatter, small tooth forceps device. Something that will slip in and grab a flat piece of wax/skin and truly clamp on. I don't know if there is something along that line or maybe someone will attempt to invent one. Anyway, I always enjoy your educational videos. Thank you, Connor, it's always fascinating.

I use to suffer from massive ear wax when I was younger. Early to mid teenage years. I thought I would have a life of having to have my ears cleaned out every year or two but then it just stopped and I have been good for decades. When I was young they would use hot water and a suction thing to pull it out. It worked really well and then they went to a smaller one which didn't work as well but would eventually work. Now I see you just dig out the wax. It does seem if you had a way to control how much vacuum pressure you could exert, it would help you. So when you latch on to a giant section you could adjust the suction up, but keep it low until you were ready.

    'turtle' (mouth) clips 🙂
couple of thoughts? get a metal/black smith to reshape the clip to narrower and to close properly??
the nappe-like folding, i wonder if you put (15 second) superglue onto your custom hook and essentially bind the folded skin together, and remove with the hook??
seems dangerous, but not sure if it is, as acetone will deactivate the superglue and you can suction it out...
