Does the Ultra suffer a little bit on depth compared to simplex, being the Ultra at 15khz vs 12khz? And is the T2 faster on recovery and better in iron than those 2 mentioned? I know you use to own the T2, so you da man to ask! I'm really liking the behavior of the Ultra,,I guess it IDs well also? Thanks for showing the Ultra Jeremy.
The T2 is faster than both Simplex's in the iron. The Simplex's have a weakness....they do not play well with other metal detectors. The Simplexes make other detectors go crazy for some reason.
The lg24 is great, I used it 90% of the time, according to nokta the "score" is in the middle with "simplex" being the younger brother and "legend" being the older brother
Im 100% sure its predetor tools and 95% sure its the predetor pheonix model, although the blade looks bigger than mine I'm thinking its a camera trick, thats why I said 95%
I can only compare the pheonix to a normal spade shovel, ive never actually used any other metal detecting shovels, but the shovel works great, in areas around me that arnt too sandy, the plugs fit back like a puzzle peice, In places that are a little sandy it struggles a tad, but its still better than a normal shovel

YOU AND ME BOTH!! I have no use for the 11" coil. I use big coils like that maybe 20 days a year. WE NEED THE SMALL COIL!!!!!!!!!!!!

Would you say the Legend is hands down better option? My LG24 has finally shipped, can't wait to use it. Thanks Jeremy.

I would say the Legend is way ahead of the Ultra. That 40khz frequency is a gold killer.

I like my simplex, but I wouldn't buy another one! It is a great beginner detector but I'm now ready to try a multi-frequency unit. Any suggestions?
If you like the Simplex...the Legend may be a good fit. The Legend and Simplex have interchangeable shafts.

The performance is the same. The tones are very similar too. The Ultra does have less EMI. I just wish the small coils were available for the Ultra.
