Dear Markus, the way you manipulate sound is incredible. Your production skills are top-notch. I love how you're always original but still stay true to yourself. I've kind of lost my way, but listening to your music inspires me. Thanks a lot for your music, it makes me feel less alone! I agree with Colin, your music has something reminiscent of the incredible experiments of the 70s and 80s!!!
Dear Marcus, thank you for your praise! I agree with both of you. this music piece was highly experimental. Unfortunately I failed with realizing a cute panning. But never mind, i am glad if you like it. Yours, Markus
@@MarkusGrandpre We are always too critical of ourselves, never one hundred percent satisfied, this is what we have in common, but as Fred says, we make music for the pleasure of making it and mistakes (if we can define them that way) are part of the game. Congratulations again Markus!!!
P.S. Stay curious, dear Marcus. Never stop dreaming. Change the medium from time to time to express your dreams. That always helps me to keep on exploring the inner and the outer world that is actually the same world.
Calm, peaceful feelings inspired by this pleasant recording. The percussion sounds interesting and fits in nicely with the changing synth tones. I like the energy in this. Very nice, Markus!
Dear Colin, thank you very much for your nice comment. The goal of this experiment was to see how far I could realize the melody progression without using a sequencer. In the end, I did use a sequencer to harmonize gate and note values. But as you can hear, the melody is not made by different sequencer steps, but by different CV curves which I mixed in a matrix mixer. I am not yet satisfied with the results of these experiments and am already dreaming of an another experimental project, which I will like to call “The Cauliflower Trilogy”. You are absolutely right with “late 70s/early 80s” if you intended to refer to the experimental character of this music. However, I failed with realizing a cute panning in this recording. I'm sorry about that, because listening to this music piece doesn't feel nice. I also don't know how the mistake came about, everything sounded great on my headphones. Ah, never mind. Let's go on. Yours, Markus
@@MarkusGrandpre I think you are being hard on yourself Markus! I thought it sounded really good. I didn't notice any issue with the panning that would make it hard to listen to. Automating things with CV curves sounds like a great experiment. I have combined multiple LFOs to modulate things a lot lately. In fact one track I did a couple of weeks ago had 27 different chaos LFO sources all modulating one oscillator. I think the main thing that made me think 70s/80s was the percussive elements. It reminded me of a lot of bands that would use things like the Roland CR78 in combination with Roland synths like the System 100 etc. The music back then had a fresh feel that wasn't over-processed allowing all the nuances to show. I really like the fact you have recaptured that freshness in this.
Jumping forward! 👍👍👍Great jam Markus!
Just another jam, just for fun.
Have a good week, dear Tomas.

You too my friend!

Thank you Jeremy.
Unfortunately, the recording has become a bit left-leaning, hasn't it?

Very cool Markus! I loved the percussion on this, it reminded me of music I would listen to in the late 70s/early 80s.

“late 70s/early 80s” I used only Moog sounds for this recording -- they are timeless.

It just doesn't sound the way it should... and i didn't notice while recording.
@@MarkusGrandpre that can, and does happen to us all at times.
