@@Schaufelor If you are on a track, you must be aware of your surroundings 100% of the time, same way as driving anywhere...(though so many people dont give a shit about whats going on behind them) It is an incredibly dangerous place if common sense and good manners and taking care aren't etiquette.
The turn in and lack of understeer for something this big and powerful blows my mind. Was not expecting to see this thing fly!
BMWs usually have pretty sharp turn in for their size
Especially AWD. I am used to seeing Audi AWD plowing into corners. Did not realize how serious the M8 is. Really impressive car.

Quite unbelievable just how capable the M8 Gran Coupe is when you consider how big and heavy it is. It is literally defying the laws of physics, especially when an ICE car doesn't have the benefit of a low center of gravity like a BEV car does. Your driving is simply awesome, Misha!

The drifting scenes from that old Grip video are engrained in my mind and probably in thousands of others as well. Thick black stripes for hundreds of meters, I'd never seen anything like it when I first watched that video.
@@titaniummechanism3214 Yeah, that video turned out to be a HUGE success for Grip and of course also for G-Power. They were the ones who provided the rims and tires cause the car itself wasn’t a press car or anything like that, this car was back then owned by a very nice guy and he was asked if he would provide the car to Grip for filming purposes. And he happily did after he heard that his own tires would be demolished 😉

Nerd fact: He consumed 1/4 of the M8s fuel tank (68L) in one lap (~ 21 km), that means an avg consumption of 80% (~ 2.9 US MPG / 3.5 UK MPG)

820hp BMW M8 indicated 235km/hr at first brake point
400hp Audi S1 indicated 225km/hr at first brake point
960bhp Audi RS6 V10 indicated 259km/hr at first brake point
608whp Nissan GTR
indicated 230km/hr at first brake point (braked early)
thought the same. no way this thing has 820hp
@@enfantterrible4868 I'm not necessarily drawing any conclusions, just trying to get some data collated.
F1 fighter indicated 2000km at that point.
@@enfantterrible4868they come stock with 625hp. It shouldn't be difficult to get it to over 800.
The Audi for example is like 600kg lighter.

impressive car, but 1/4 of a tank per lap (aprox. 17L ) is also impressive. Never the less the way it stood up to misha driving is what impress me the most ! 😊

Did it also have the upgrade turbos? Because 7+sec 100-200 is not 820hp. My stage 1 F90 M5 does it in 6 sec on stage 2 tune with stock DP's but with only me in it and has "only" 720hp...
Clearly not 820 hp, its stock, people nowadays come with bs numbers for social media everywhere 😅

Misha, when we talk consumables I often think of tyres and brakes, but how much of a difference is fuel consumption compared to a light weight, low power car, or a race car? This thing looks like it just consumed 1/4 - 1/3 of a tank in 1 lap!!!
Heavy high horsepower car will of course consume more. That's why I included the fuel gauge to show how crazy it is. Puts also things into perspective

the car did so well, love it, thought it might float around a bit more but it seemed very planted to the road, at 1000hp I'm sure you will upgrade brakes and suspension, Misha you did an amazing job on this lap dealing with the traffic!

I wonder if the boost gauge are accurate? The boost sometimes jump from 1.5-bar to almost 2.0-bar. 🤔
