    Just to clarify ! The Voigtländer BRAND name today is owned buy a German company, but they lease the brand name to the Japanese Company Cosina, which makes Cameras and Lenses, Cosina have made Lenses for other brands, fx Zeiss !

    That Voigtländer Nokton 50mm 1.0 only makes sense if you really need aperture 1.0 ! If I was to use a Lens like that it would be for handheld nightscape with aperture 1.0

      @@cameraprepper7938 - ummm no. It makes sense for anyone who’s looking for a unique look and shooting experience on the Canon RF platform. It’s different than anything Canon currently offers. That includes being smaller and lighter, which is extremely important.

      @@ThruMyLens100 I do not know about the importance of "unique look", but it is easy to make more compact and light weight Lenses, because both Canon and Nikon are too lazy designing lenses with large aperture.
