I got excited when I saw you had Kamisama Kiss, it’s one of my all time favs!! Based off of your collection I think you’d enjoy it. The anime is amazing too, I watched that before reading the manga. I tried to get into Demon Prince but I didn’t really care for it.
Absolutely beautful collection! I am looking forward to your opinion on Angelic Layer. Like you, I grew up with the anime and it must be one of my most re-watched ones. I LOVE it, and I even love the english dubs! (Kind of learned English with it back in the day). So, I also hunted down the manga recently and I was kind of disappointed after finishing it. It still gives me the same feelings for the most part, but the story differs quite a bit from the anime. I think, if I hadn't seen the anime, I would have enjoyed it a lot more. I am still glad, that I have it in my collection. I don't feel like Kamisama Kiss is too childish. It has quite a lot of serious themes, even though it looks so bubbly. Especially the later volumes are quite heart wrenching and I cry everytime I read it,. It can not be compared to My Happy Marriage, but it is still definitely one of my favourite Shoujos. I put two series on my to-buy-list: "In the Land of Leadale" and "Kaiju Girl Caramelis". They both sound so good! I had heard about the latter before, but you sealed the deal for me, and the first I hadn't known yet. Thank you so much for this tour, I enjoyed it a lot! :)
I remember people saying that the ending of the manga was abit different to the anime, I assume as the manga is only 4 volumes they added a lot more things to the anime! I just love it so much I think it’s time for me to do a rewatch 👀 hahaa Thankyou for letting me know about Kamisama kiss I’m super excited to start it now knowing how much you enjoyed it 😍😍. Personally, I am really enjoying Demon Prince of Momochi House a lot. I'm about to start volume 7 soon. I have read the first couple volumes of Kamisama Kiss and it just didn't grip me like Demon Prince did. But my library has all of both of those series so I will read them eventually. Loving your collection videos! I wish I had your collection so much.
“The other world’s books depend (…. long title LOL)” only gets better. I have the Kindle edition of the manga, where volume 4 is already out and….O. M. G. 🩷🩷 I have and already read all “Barbarities” volumes. It’s good, but _a bit_ too heavy on the plot part imo and it starts very slow so I might decide to sell it. I read King’s Maker online (through unofficial english adaptations)….and I too really hope it gets an official english release. 😍 I was thinking whether to pick up Dangerous Convenience Store or not, but I probably end up not - the volumes are pretty expensive, plus I’m on the fence about the art (it doesn’t really “speak” to me). I collected the whole “The Sacrificial Princess (…. another long title LOL)” series just a few months ago after seeing so many good reviews about it….and oh boy, was that a smart decision. The series is awesome, and the art….🩷🩷🩷🩷
