Watching Daniel Hemetsberger's near-disaster with the fence, all I could think about was Brian Stemmle's accident in '89. That was so nasty back then! I was so surprised that Brian came back to race again after that. Oh, yeah, ...I rocked the 225cm DH Atomic Red Sleds way back in '84! My favorite pair of skis, though, were the blue 215cm Super G planks, of which I sadly bent one.
So we are watching Daniel Hemetsberger's downhill run at Kitzbuhel and really getting off on the no commentator, just the awesome raw sounds and sights of drones trailing skiers at high speeds flying down the mountain when Hemetsberger actually makes contact with the fence at 5:52 but doesn't crash! Unbelievable! 96/kph shows on the screen. I have never seen anything like it. He actually slides along the fence like a toboggan track and makes a miraculous recovery! Downhill racing takes nerves of steel with speeds up to: track record top speed: 153 km/h (95 mph) Michael Walchhofer (2006). There is nothing like it and this is terrific coverage, I would love to know how they pull this drone camera work. Be sure and catch the slow motion replay at the end of the run 7:08
Let them sports competitions entertain you some more fans, let's enjoy a nice refreshing snow event, let them know skiing champions how much we love them, visit such spectacular locations for the weekend & get involved in environmental projects, let's invert the global warming so we could have snow all the time of the year..yeah, what a wonderful world this could be fans 🎉❤🎉
Sorry, I really don't know what and how happened. All the videos are edited with a variable frame rate of 25 fps to 50 fps, with an average of 29.5 fps. This one really looks bad (check the other videos, they are ok).

Some of the drone footage is awesome. You can see how sketchy the ski to ground contact is during the turns....amazing...

17:50, all the slo-mo shots , Odermatt's facial expressions has a real look of enjoying the race, so awesome....
amazing drone footage
Sarrazin odermatt and Paris 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
The drone shots are great. The body cam shots will be great when they can digitally stabilize the image.
Went the drone gets IN the shot, it looks like some wild haired alien chasing the skier, 😂 😂.
A STAR IS BORN
Downhill skiers are the equivalent to formula 1 drivers!
More like fucking maniacs 🤟🤟
formula 1 drivers ................ on planks !!
Beautif and amazing slope i love streiff
and one more thing.....Canada gets the best retro sweater design award....(the upper of their race suit)

Thank you! 🙏
Amazing!!! Heros on Skis or Deardevils
Seriously. Elian Lehto made his first top11 run from starting position 37 and you did not include him on the highlights
Schön!

Something fishy with the italian team. They all have German names????
No all, but most of them 🙂.Most of them are from South Tirol region, at the Austrian border
Too much blue stuff on the course. Maybe they should go back to the bunny slope.
Go rip down it yerself, and get back here with a report...
I’d probably be good at this because I don’t know how to stop! …except at the end I might be in trouble 🫣
Sarrazin = monstruous 223 cm to carve
🫣
Please...
