Growing up, the Wengen and Kitzbühel races were like christmas morning. Shame Cuche never won it in Wengen but in Kitzbühel he was unbeatable so many times.
Mentally, physically the toughest DH on the tour. Kitz is the F1/of ski racing. Looking out the start-hut is like no other! most quiet place at the start area of all races. Into the mix in a split second. Bormio/Garmisch are a beast also. Dark, Fast and rock hard ice. Great job with the Video Speed King! nailed it!!
@@speedkingz yes, indeed, he has to prove himself on the long term. But that second downhill run will in any case remain one of the greatests in the history!

Holly crap, most people do not go this fast in their car.. These downhill ski racers are like astronauts or rail duel dragster drivers !!! It takes steel balls to be successful in this sport...The difference between victory and second place can be as thin as a length of fishing line !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Unfortunately winning from the top in Wengen and Kitz is important. Nothing the skiers can do about it, but important none the less. I believe Klammer has won the most from the top (4).
Any such list that doesn’t include the three triple gold medal winners from a single olympics is a crock, just like super g is a crock, a marketing exercise to sell more advertising. there are only three events needed to determine the comprehensively best skier. Downhill, Slalom and Giant Slalom.

Switzerland rules! 🇨🇭
no Austrian Rules 😂,Cuche only won 2 times on the entire streif Franz Klammer is the King

All legends in a great sport .
pirmin zurbriggen-
most talented skier of all time!!!
Wasn’t he the guy that witnessed someone get chopped up in a snow machine during the Olympics one year?
Franz Klammer is still the greatest downhiller of all time!!!
Skill and huge balls.😀
Franz klammer the goat of downhill skiing
Great video, thanks
Welcome
Top 6 4 Swiss
Great ski racers.....!!!!
Great Didier Cuche. (but he won only 2 times on the entire streif)
Hmm, still king
No denying Cuche as one of the greats, but Klammer remains the true King of The Streif.
@@leestamm3187can you count? Cuche won the Streif 5 times, that is one more than Klammer

These guys and WRC drivers - biggest balls in all of sports.
Totally agree. Got to have insane guts to go down mountains this way
Gotta give it to Cuche, when it came to Kitz he was the GOAT!
Absolutely
What about 2 other 3 times winners: Karl Schranz, Luc Alphand ?
Less podiums, so left out
Franz Klammer had the best name of any sportsman ever.
Now Sarrazin is a contestant 😀
Haha next year we'll see

I think the fact that the site is Kitzbuhel makes no difference to the comments below.
Luc Alphand? 3 wins...
Franz Heinzer

And WTF is Kitzbuehl without Toni Sailer??
