His gliding on the "flat" section near the top is amazing to behold and his insane aggressive turns are so cool.
I have watched this like ten times, This is my favorite! I have literally skied downhill 4 times in my life on a tiny hill in Michigan. So no I am no downhill skier thought I do cross country ski. You can hear how icy the snow is when he is on his edge. It is simply unreal.
Living right on the edge of his limit and trusting himself and his skis to deliver the speed. Intense. Downhilling at its best. 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

When I saw his run, I believed he could not win cause of to many "mistake" or not elegant movements. But ... he did. Not the most elegant and kinda weird, but powerful and effective at the end. Remind me Bode Miller.

Was a Great Ride but the Streif is not what it used to be.
20 years ago it was much more dangerous much bumpier.
Of course it was a great show but at the expanse of risking horrible crashes.
But this clean run would not be possible two decades ago.
I wonder why the speed record is still unbeaten from 1997.

It was good, but not on the same level as Eberharter's famous ride in 2004.

‘Best downhill victory in History’? Who invented this stupid title? Some chauvinist-crazed Frenchman? Indeed a great downhill racer, but there are many others who came before and will come after him. Let’s stay a bit realistic and humble here.
It was indeed the best only Strobl was faster but his route was like 200m shorter
It was the beat ride on the streif ever even in Austria people are saying that. Before him it was eberharter or cuche 2004 or 2011

Incredibly sharp & on point , possibly the "cleanest" and certainly one of the best if we consider that comparing different periods is unfair because of equipment improvements & different snow conditions etc..
Great skier but far from perfection. Bit Klammer ish. Mistakes but great speed. Vincent Kriechmayr last year on the Friday is the only perfect run I’ve seen at Kitz. Didier Cuche and Stefan Eberharter were close. Exciting run though, superb athlete 😀⛷
I think the reason it was so sketchy looking was because he had the speed. When it’s faster than expected, the jumps end up bigger than expected and the course comes at you quicker.
Kriechmayr's line was near perfect in 2023, but that oftentimes means a rider doesn't go all in. In my view, Eberharter's 2004 run was the best ever.
But Sarrazins was the most spectacular 😲
