Pmsl I saw the short leaver at the start of your video. I had very similar on my Owen 1400 GTR mk2 and had the same thing of clutch slip. As soon as I put the larger leavers back on no problem. When you look at the push blocks on the short leaver it it pushing the piston in more leading to clutch slip. Looks lovely and worm there we have just started winter here in uk so big berther is sleeping now till snow goes. All the best from uk
Yes, those shorties were junk! Winter is here now, 3 inches of snow yesterday. My 2012 Connie is in the dining room waiting for spring which is at least 5 months away. Great to hear from a UK biking brother. Thanks for commenting!
😂I threw the short clutch and brake levers in the trash immediately after the successful first test ride after removing them and replacing with the original levers. Thanks for that info and for watching and commenting!!!🦾🦾🦾
Great video mate. I never tried this machine, but it would be nice to do it. I have to check your comparison video with the FJR. I have to be honest and say that I like the FJR more. :) At least the latest model that has the cruise control. None of these are available as new in my country (Concours and FJR). Got my like here. Have to watch you comparison video too.
Here in the U.S. the first year for cruise on the FJR was 2013 then first year for the 6-speed was 2016, mine was 2015. The Concours fits me better and has more HP and torque, but unfortunately no electronic cruise and I really miss that. If I decide to keep this Connie I'll have the ECU flashed. Thanks man!

Of course he knew..a bike in that good of shape..he knew how many dead farts were in the seat..
Right, I don't see how he couldn't have known.
I have 97,846 miles on my 2010 Concours 14 and have NEVER had any Clutch issues so that stupid short clutch lever can get thrown in the trash.

@@JSProjectWild I see. I would agree. Having the cruise control is a must on such a bike in my opinion. I frequently use it on my Tracer 9 too. :)
need proper oil in it ?
Oil was not the reason the clutch was slipping but I mentioned in the video that was a possibility.
Probably for weak dainty pencil pushing, computer tapping hands with the goofy stubby clutch.
🤣That could be a valid explanation! Thanks for watching!
Mine has 72,345
That's good to know. Except for the typical valve cover oil seep, mine is all good. Thanks for taking the time to comment!
Had a kaw once. Nothing but trouble, as bad as a Harley…almost. FJR so much better.
Thanks for watching!
