Nice video. I have a tip that might be handy for you. When placing signals if you hold the ctrl key while clicking and dragging you can signal the entire line up to a split or track junctionl
If you want to improve your time you need to better utilize the area around the center of the city, move the station away as the city is growinng and you should also look into road layouts. You have too many loops near the center, it can cause the alrgorithm to fail finding a spot for new house and skip a cycle.
I agree with moving the passenger station away from centre to allow for more high rise buildings. As for road layouts, the skipping cycle can happen, but more so in larger cities, not on a server with a 4000 population goal
@@naeshar5463 Maybe you are right, I play on the 14k CB server and as you said the skips are a problem towards the end of the game when the city is big. I just wanna be safe rather than sorry =D
Hi, in a standard game it does. But the CityBuilder script changes the behaviour and only bases city growth on passangers/goods delivered. Buses then are not required, if trains can supply enough. I definitely add buses once the city is bigger and can generate decemt amount of passengers, but not early (under 1k population)
@@krawc0 I was not aware of that. Could be true, but I would need to ask the script maker. Much more important is to deliver goods on time and in quantity. This server also awards delivery bonuses (for 2x the cargo) which might easily make up for the need of more stations
@@naeshar5463 If you want to make sure about server settings you should contact server staff, not the script creator as they usually provide many settings that can be adjusted to host's liking. I don't really play on the 4k server, I play on 14k FIRS CB and played on the 8k for a while as a warm up after a long break so I don't want to jump to conclusions but I am pretty sure most CB scripts add to vanilla mechanics so the 5 active stations rule always stands strong =)
I am not sure what do you mean, but this is not a single player game you can save. I am playing on a multiplayer server, which is the light blue menu you see at the video start. The CityBuilder is a server script that is running on the server
the hotkeys are basically 1234 for basic railroad tracks (following up to waypoints), B for bridge and T tunnel, S signals window. terraforming is on QW for up/down and E flatten and so on. and I am getting rid of the window pressing Delete key, often :-).

thanks for the tip! That must have been added while I was not looking :) definitely will speed up building...
And the number on the right sets the distance between the signals. This allows you to adjust the spacing, depending on how long your trains are.

Man I cannot do it as fast as this, I have a need to level everything that involves a train network lol
Hi! Why you don’t use buses in city? It helps city grow faster.

@@naeshar5463that's wrong. You need 5 active stations to ensure maximal growth speed possible. This goes for vanilla and most CB scripts

I see different menu from my save game? Is it a mods? Or just setting?

seems like you have voice activation too high, cutting of your voice
Yo nae
how to remove building view like you did?
or could you send link to display the hot keys for building road/railroad or terraforming?

@@naeshar5463 he heyy thank you much matee!!
resolution is a bit low
I am sorry, it seems OpenTTD does not handle resizing well (1080p->720p). Do you think I should redo the gameplay tutorial and reupload?
looks perfectly fine (readable) to me @ 720p on a 1920x1080 screen
