Brilliant and loved your walk around Skipton, pity about the cash thing but they have been trying to get rid of cash for ages and convid gives them another excuse. That was some fast flowing water on your walk and I wouldn't have wanted to fall in there, look forward to your next adventure, thanks for sharing.

Skipton is very beautiful. Having lived around this area for over 20 years I would suggest a drive into the Yorkshire dales from where you are, head up through kettlewell towards Hawes. It’s absolutely jaw dropping, gods country (as penned by Bill Bryon - famous local author)
The drive back was breath taking. I could see for miles and miles. I filmed this in July or I would of gone to those places. Never knew until now how beautiful the north of our country is. What a visual treat Skipton was. Cheers Paul.
WOW WILL, what a great video. I was disappointed too in not being able to see inside the castle. Even in the US paying by cash is becoming scarce and scarce. I think they are afraid of being robbed. The sights were fabulous everywhere and also from your van. Enjoyed this so much. Places you walked and showed were so nice and clean. Hope your pie was good. Take care and travel safe.

I can't imagine not taking cash...seems a bit crazy to pass up a visitor because they want to use cash, everyone loses that way. It seemed like a very clean little town and I am happy the pie shop at least wasn't to proud to take cash. That pork pie looked delicious. I haven't had one of those in more than 64 years. It is not something they sell in the US. At least not in the southwest and south east. Thanks for sharing this wonderful scenic trip, I really enjoyed it. Have a Blessed day.
Thanks Margaret. You're so kind. It seems crazy turning cash down. They must be loosing loads of money. That pork pie was warm and delicious. Skipton was clean and very charming. What a lovely stay I had. Busy and noisy with the festival. No cash again. It's seems taking cash out of ones pocket and handing it over is far to much hassle for businesses now days. Visited Skipton 7years ago, from Australia, with some of my family. Loved it. Scary when legal tender is no longer legal.
Skipton is shockingly beautiful. Great place to stay. It's becoming very scary that my money has no power. Money used to be backed by gold. Now people are happy with just digits on a screen rather than owning something of worth. The world is going insane. Common sense no longer exists. Thanks for watching Peter.

Black clouds, rain. Lots of bridges. A couple doing it. A 3.5second shop visit. Bit of a worry that raging torrent of water, but apart from that, quite a pleasant town till the fireworks . Lots of lovely old stonework. Cant have it here because of the odd earthquake. No cash covid, it's the no contact thing, saves from spreading the virus? A glimpse of young Carter, but no Leon or Katie in sight. Thanks Will, really nice of you to show us around. Take care mate. Hows Shui getting on.
Leon was working then and I think Katie was asleep so I had little Carter. Shui is getting ready to go back to Taiwan. I'm taking her to the airport and I will get her to say goodbye. I understand cash spreading the virus but that goes out the window when they pass me a receipt or leaflet. They won't take my cash but pass me the card machine were I hold it and pass it back, they don't get irony...Sort of blinkered thinking. Common sense seems to be disappearing Phil. Heading west on the canal you will see many beautiful vistas.

Last May was terrible in The Netherlands, a full month rain! We had a very comfy 20 degrees summer though, no heat waves.

Great vlog, Nice of Skipton to put on a fireworks display especially for you. Cashless is the way these days. I still carry cash with me, a bit old fashion that way.

Nice place Skipton. Shame about the castle. I once had charge of a party of 60 kids going round the castle back in the 90's.Bleeding nightmare the little gets.

Skipton is a market town and busy with shoppers from the out lying villages....did you go to the castle too....
It is a busy town. I went to the castle but they wouldn't let me in because I wanted to pay..Yes it is mad...

Hireboats are an important part of sustaining the canalsystem, and an essential business. Permanent cruicers and liveaboards would see huge negative changes without them. Yet you allways talk them down.
Most hire boaters are lovely and I talk and help them all the time as you will see in my next vlog. I don't think I've insulted any hire boaters. I merely point out what I see on the canals. I don't care if your a hire boater or live aboard. Speeding is speeding. It would be nice if you would give me an example of putting hire boaters down. I film all the hire companies. I must admit speeding hire boaters are the worst offenders. I spoke only yesterday to a marina who sold extra long pins just because of the high traffic of hire boats. My vlog going up the 3 and 5 rise locks I was talking to a hire boater and he said he didn't have a clue about locks or boats and he was in charge of a 20 tonne boat. Take care Ronny

Could you not use your phone to pay for things ?
No I don't have that. I use cash. It's still the currency if this country. It's legal tender. When I use cash I can see it's disappearing from my wallet. It's far to easy to keep pinging cards or phones and loose track of spending you know? Thanks for commenting and watching.
