    This video showcases the February 10, 2019 event, the first in the trilogy, Keynote speech by the Hon. Wesley Bell, St. Louis County Prosecutor. Performances by Missouri AME Conference Choir, Better Family Life’s K.Y.P.E. dance troupe, and more.
    About the Trilogy:
    The year 2019 marks 400 years since the first documented arrival of Africans in the United States. To recognize the significance of this anniversary, Washington University in St. Louis, under the leadership of Brown School Professor Jack Kirkland, is hosting a three-part series from February to November 2019. The 400 Years Plus Trilogy will explore various aspects of Black experience, struggle and resiliency from historical and current perspectives. It will also reflect on Black contributions, identity and progress in the next century, serving as a time and space for fellowship, celebration and inspiration.
