Me at 21 just finding this out 💀 btw no dentist has ever told me about this and I’m sure I have one because my front teeth are uneven and it often interferes with me eating, I often bite my tongue or cheek by accident and it leaves me feeling sore for days. Once I was at school during lunch and accidentally bit the right side of my tongue so hard it hurt and I kinda felt it bleeding and the next day and 2 weeks after that I couldn’t eat anything or talk really, it hurt that bad I could only take liquids because if I opened my mouth a lot or chewed it hurt a lot
I have edge to edge bite along with cross bite. There is midline discrepancy as well. What kind of teeth movements should be included in my treatment plan in upper as well as lower arch?
Hello. Since this is an orthodontic channel, I can only make videos pertaining to orthodontics. Perhaps you can search for channels that specialize in endodontics.
You can, but it will probably involve either surgical expansion (SARPE) or Mini-implant assisted rapid palatal expansion (MARPE). If I were you, I'd have a consultation with my local orthodontist.
@@neariscoming SARPE involves surgery in the hospital but MARPE involves placing temporary implants under local anesthesia. To know which procedure works better for you, the best way is to get an orthodontic consult.
Yes. Sometimes if s crossbite is only on one side it can cause a shift in the bite to the right or left. Sometimes an underlying asymmetry in the jaws can lead to a crossbite on one side.

Great explanation! How is treated ?
The typical treatment is expansion of the upper arch (by widening it sideways) using one of many expanders used by orthodontists.

Hey I’m 17 years old and I’m just noticing this so can I get this corrected at this age or not ?

So do I have to get surgery for it ? .I’m just asking because I’m worried that it doesn’t get to that !
