- What is dental occlusion? Dental occlusion refers to the way in which the teeth line up with each other as the jaw goes from open to closed. So malocclusion is when the teeth don’t line up properly, and Angle’s classification of malocclusion is a system used to categorize that: Class 1 - malocclusion, Class 2 - distocclusion, and Class 3 - mesioocclusion.

In summary, dentistry is a lot of terminology.
MAaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaarn, tell me about it....!!!
From start to finish!!!!!!!!!!!!!
yeah,i hate dentistry already. 3rd year
So true!
😂
And it's all useless stuff too.
Never heard my dentist go "Hmmm, I'm gonna check the transverse ridge and then look at the mesiopalatal cusp."
More dental videos please, Thank you!
Wow this is amazing! I wish i found this weeks ago and not the night before my exam haha thank you!
Hope your exam went well! Feel free to checkout our video library at osmosis.org for more of our content that you might need. Good luck! 😊
Same for me night before exam lol
I can relate at the moment 😢😂😂😂
Plzz make a video about Photosynthesis, I understand the things u say, like nobody else!! (I know this isn't the field you work with...)
dental occlusion starts at 4:41
Extremely helpful 👍
Can I please clarify your definition of Class 3? You say the distal surface of the mandibular canines being at least 1 premolar width anterior to the mesial surface of the maxillary canines. Yet the image you have put up would be more consistent with (i think, i am only learning this now from you) the Anterior surface of the mandibular canine being at least 1 premolars width anterior to the distal surface of the maxillary canine.
regardless, thank you for this video!!
I don't know how to thank u👌❤️thanku so much ....v helpful for exams learning through visual is best rather than reading a book .
Most welcome, Emel! 😊

This helps a lot for my next test
Glad to help! Hope you ace your test! 😊
Osm , plzzzzzz more dental video's 🤗
The groove highlighted purple at 5:37 is the central groove, not the buccal groove where the mesiobuccal cusp of the first molar occludes.
"Buccal side of the mandibular 1st molar's (central) groove, rather than right in the middle of the valley"
Thanks 💛💛
love this thank you
Welcome! 🫀
Keep spreading positivity! 😊🌞
Always! 🙏🏼

there are effective treatments available according to kriss ai, such as braces or surgery, to correct this condition and improve both your dental health and aesthetics.
The worst way to classify occlusion.
Based on the guys kid and his friends.
